Birthday poppy

I don’t often play with panel dies, but when I saw this Trellis one from Altenew I knew I had to have it. It’s been die cut as white card stock and then I used my Distress Ink (one of the few I have that’s not Oxide) in the colour Peeled Paint and deliberately avoided getting it even. As the background behind it, I used one of the new watercolour background panels from Lili of the Valley. Then I cut the Trellis die cut apart so that I only kept about 2/3 of it. The Paint-a-Flower Poppy has been coloured with my Copic markers and then cut out by hand. After I glued it onto the background and trellis, I used one of my other Copic marker colours to draw in some dots in a colour to match the distress. The Happy Birthday sentiment is a part of the Paint-a-Flower Poppy set, whereas “dearest friend” is off the Statement Flowers set and I used two different colours from the Zesty Limes ink cubes set. A few transparent drops and voila, card done!

LotV – penguin kisses

There is a new release coming at Lili of the Valley later this month and it’s awesome! There are loads of totally awesome penguins and various watercolour elements you can use on your cards. How cool is that? I’ve used used one of the splashes together with the adorable penguin couple.

I printed them together and then coloured the penguins up with my Prismacolor pencils. A little bit of glitter on some chipboard, one of the embossed labels from Lili of the Valley, a few snowflakes and a red card base and I’ve officially started on this year’s Christmas cards!

Let’s have another photo, just because!

A bit of Christmas in April

Because why not, right? This is possibly my favourite Lili of the Valley image. I love James Bear and this particular one is adorable! I used some Maja Design papers, but kept the card reasonably simple.

New Norwegian stamp brand

Last week a new Norwegian stamp brand appeared on the market here in Norway: Mathia design. Of course I had to use the stamps as soon as I got them! Here I’ve embossed the background stamp and used one of the text stamps. The coloured image is a Stamping Bella stamp and will be used in a class I’ll be teaching at Hobbykunst in Oslo in the middle of March.

Roses for Mother’s Day

Copic Marker Norge has its February challenge going and the DT have gotten challenged to colour up red. I have used a stamp from My Favorite Things. I kept the card super simple and used MFT Stamps card stock and a stitched rectangle die.

Copics used: (red) R32, R35, R37, R39, R89, (centre) Y11, Y19, (green) YG01, G24, G94, BG99
