April showers

April already. That means another challenge is on its way at The Hobby House! The theme for this month’s challenge is Anything Goes where you have to use one of the new toppers. There are loads of sweet new toppers available at their shop. Can’t wait to get my hands on some of these!

For my inspirational post this time I have used one of the Wee Stamps toppers from The Hobby House. The ribbon, pearls and roses are also from there. I have used paper from First Edition Paper, a Martha Stewart puncher for the leaves and Tim Holtz liquid pearls for the rain effect.

Blue. I love blue! It is definitely time for a blue card! It’s been too long since I posted one now; I will make it up by posting several the next two weeks!

I have used paper from Bildmålarna and a pre-coloured topper from The Hobby House using a darling Sylvia Zet image. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the branches are made with a Martha Stewart puncher. The little pearls are also purchased at The Hobby House, whereas the sentiment stamp is from Lili of the Valley.

Pre-coloured toppers are fantastic! They are so easy to use and helps make a card a lot faster because there is no colouring involved! The adorable one is by Sylvia Zet at The Hobby House. It was easy to pick colours to go with for sure. The papers are from Papermania and Tim Holtz. The lace is from a local shop and the ribbon, bow and flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The small buttons are card candi from Craftwork Cards, the spirals are by Kort og Godt and the sentiment is by Lili of the Valley and inked with Memento. The leaves are, as usual, made with a Martha Stewart puncher.

Eiffel in love in Paris

This week at Paper Playtime, we’d like you to use a pun. I had quite a few puns I was considering, but in the end I settled for ‘Eiffel in love in Paris’. I decided to use this super cute pre-coloured Sylvia Zet image which is available at the Hobby House. As it is a predominately purple and orange image I made the sentiment in these colours. The papers are plain card stock in white and purple, a purple star patterned paper I’ve had since who-knows-when and an orange plaid patterned paper from a First Edition Paper pad.

I have also used spellbinder dies as well as two Martha Stewart punchers to make the leaves and the butterfly. The butterfly punch was purchased only a few days beforehand and I have already made tons of random butterflies just because they are so pretty, heh. The purple ribbon, bow and all the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the white ribbon might be a papermania one. I will look and update the post when I’m back home from my holiday. It turns out it is not by papermania; it only has the word ‘Celebrate’ on the front. I do, however, recall that I bought it in Range in the UK.
