One of the other stamp sets I bought from Altenew is a layering stamp set of a tree. I stamped it with three different Distress Oxide and then I coloured over it. I drew in some lines on the tree with a darker brown Copic Marker and then I added loads of tiny dots to the leaves in two different pink hues and a white pen before adding dots for the grass. And that is all it took really, together with the great sentiments from Altenew also. I think I will try this again soon!

10. Baby playing with the Christmas tree
Two weeks until Christmas and I have a very clean and simple Christmas card for you today. It features a totally adorable image I got at Make it Crafty and a text stamp from Panduro. To make the coloured layer stand out a bit more I’ve used foam tape. I think this was the best way to make the colouring stand out as the primary part of the card.
Copics used: (tree) YG03, YG67, G99, E43, E47, (decorations and pot) Y13, Y19, Y38, YR18, R22, R27, R59, E18, (boy) E000, E00, E11, W1, W3, W5, B32, B34, B37
Reindeer games
It’s Friday and a fab one at that! I can’t believe it is Christmas next week. In less than a week even, as we celebrate on the 24! That means I know what I have to spend my weekend doing: making Christmas cards! I certainly don’t have time to make any other cards if I want to get it all done. My wrist has been acting up the past few weeks, but it seems colouring is fine unless I spend all doing it.. so yey! I don’t have to rush out and buy Christmas cards! Thank goodness! If you want lots of inspiration for Christmas in particular, pop over to see our creations at Tiddly Inks!
For this card I’ve used the adorable Reindeer Games and coloured it in with copics! Don’t you just love it?! Of course the card is blue. Is there any other kind I’ll soon start to wonder.. heh. I bought the lace at KaBoks, used Noor Design tree dies and a Martha Stewart snowflake puncher! Additionally I used a snow pen for the snow effect and a Panduro sentiment stamp.
Copics used: (hair) E31, E34, E37, (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, (outfit) R22, R24, R27, R89, C1, C3, (reindeer) E42, E43, E44, E47
Tiddly elfy holidays
I made two cards for the Tiddly Inks release and this is the second of them. I used Elfy Holidays and coloured her in with copics. I drew in the sign post myself as I couldn’t think of how to colour up the background.
I used dies from both Tim Holtz (snowflakes) and Noor Design (reindeer and trees). The flowers are a mix of Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts. The charm is from Korthobby. I used acrylic paint around most of the elements to get more of a winter/snow feeling to the card. The sentiment stamp is by Staz which I bought at a scrapping fair I was on, but don’t remember which stall it was.. heh.

A Just Inklined treehouse
I had an interesting card request last month. It had to be treehouse themed and it went from floral with lots of details to reasonably simple and almost CAS. It was fun though, the person requesting knew what they wanted and it’s nice to have someone else’s actual opinion instead of ‘oh just do what you think is best’. That is probably why this card is different compared to what I normal do. However, I did have a lot of fun making it and love how it turned out!
For this card I used a Just Inklined image which I coloured in with copic markers. I am very pleased with how the colouring turned out to be honest. I haven’t really coloured that kind of image before; so far I have mostly stuck with people! The dies are from Noor Design and Quick Kutz and I used some Martha Stewart punchers as well.
