Lotv James in the forest snow

This is my second attempt at colouring in my own background. I stuck with various purples for my little forest scene. The adorable bear is by Lili of the Valley and I’m sure you’ve seen me use this stamps a few times in the past! It gets a bit of a different look with a drawn in background, though. I also added some snow to the ground as well as some falling snow. The brighter blue scarf and hat stands out nicely against the background.

The card itself is quite simple. I didn’t feel like it needed a lot added to it, so I simply used a stitched border die for the panel, a Norwegian Christmas sentiment in a dark purple and some semi-transparent sequins around it.

29. The forest

I have an imageless card to show you today. It was made for someone who loves the outdoor and the forest, so I decided to go with a green and brown theme and use loads of cut out trees. The tree die is by Noor Design. I’ve used flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts, as well as lace from LLC. The main paper here I believe is Pion.

And another funky angle photo!

A Just Inklined treehouse

I had an interesting card request last month. It had to be treehouse themed and it went from floral with lots of details to reasonably simple and almost CAS. It was fun though, the person requesting knew what they wanted and it’s nice to have someone else’s actual opinion instead of ‘oh just do what you think is best’. That is probably why this card is different compared to what I normal do. However, I did have a lot of fun making it and love how it turned out!

For this card I used a Just Inklined image which I coloured in with copic markers. I am very pleased with how the colouring turned out to be honest. I haven’t really coloured that kind of image before; so far I have mostly stuck with people! The dies are from Noor Design and Quick Kutz and I used some Martha Stewart punchers as well.

Christmas in the forest

Just a few more days left of work until Christmas is upon us. I really must get the last few Christmas presents sorted this week. but  I have a feeling I won’t get it done until the very last minute again: on Monday.

Todays card I believe is made with paper from Pion. I’m not entirely certain who made the image I’ve used, but I did purchase it at Bikuben. The ribbon is from the Ribbon Girl and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I have used pearls from The Hobby House and made branches with a Martha Stewart puncher.
