Goth Ellie – be yourself

Clean and simple cards are so much fun! I think I am making like two CAS for every layered one atm. Today I am showing one I made for the Paper Nest Dolls, using the stamp Goth Ellie.

I used some candi in the top right corner, and kept them white for a change. I printed a sentiment right onto the card base and then used paper from Paper Cellar. Lastly I cut out the stamp by hand, put her upper body on foam tape to make her stand off the card a little, while keeping her feet firmly on the ground at the bottom where I drew on some shadow.

Here is a close-up of the colouring.

Copics used: (hair) BV23, BV25, BV29, (purples) V01, V06, V09, (skin) E000, E00, E04, E21, (turquoise) G40, BG49, BG53, BG57, (greys) W0, W1, W2, W3, W5, W7, W9

Grow a little love

Right, so there is no secret I love Tiddly Inks images, especially all things Wryn! I was on their design team a while back and as they’re having another DT now that I have more time to make cards again I thought I would submit an application. It is a great team to be on, so perhaps you should try your luck also? You can find the DT call here. This is my card for said application. It’s a Wryn, of course! And coloured with Copic makers!

Actually, this is not my favourite. My favourite is the one with the cupcake, eat more cake, but as I used that one for the previous time I applied for a DT, I thought I should pick another one this time. Although I adore all of the winter ones, I decided to go with grow a little love, which I have also coloured up loads of times. I honestly have way too many favourites, I admit it.

I’ve used various stash from Wild Orchid Crafts, Live and Love Crafts (reopen, please!), Martha Stewart punchers, distress ink, pearls and lace and doily from various places.

Here is the card from another angle.

Oh and the text? That is Norwegian for good luck!

Mermaid; photo inspiration challenge

It’s the middle of May already! How did that happen?! hmm.. Oh well, it does mean it’s time for another challenge at Copic Marker Norge, and this time we have a photo inspiration challenge.

This is the card I made. I decided on a mermaid to represent the ocean and then I tried to mostly stick to the colours used on the inspirational photo. The image I used is by Ching-Chou Kuik and one of the very first mermaids I’ve ever coloured! Various other bits are by Papermania, Wild Orchid Crafts and Martha Stewart. The image is obviously coloured with Copics.

Here is another view of the card:

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, R20, R22, (blue-green) BG05, B000, BG70, BG72, BG75, BG78, G29, (pink) R39, R81, R83, R85, R89, (leaves) YG01, YG67, YG99, (background) R81, RV000, B000, B81

CMNs 5th birthday

This month we are celebrating Copic Marker Norges fifth birthday! Happy Birthday to us. To kick off the month we have a new birthday challenge. There will be loads of fun things both on the blog and facebook page during the month, so be sure to keep an eye out as there are some great prizes to be won!

The card I made for the birthday is done with an image from Tiddly Inks that I absolutely adore. The image is obviously coloured with copics. Most of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and lace and some flowers from Live and Love Crafts

Flowers for tea

Yet another card I made last year using a pre-coloured image. Both of the images used here are from Lili of the Valley. The edges of the image got distressed and frantaged. I had fun making a different card design for this one and added a ribbon so it could be tied together. The colour combination is also one I haven’t used much if I have at all. I think the peach and aqua actually worked, though. For the embellishments I used mostly Noor Design dies with a spellbinder one for the circle and a Martha Stewart puncher. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts as usual.
