Bringing gifts in the snow

As I mentioned earlier this month: I managed to complete my two Christmas cards this month. Here is the other one. This one was also completed on the 28th February. Got to love last-minute work, right? I decided to go with another winter themed card as they are my favourites for Christmas.

For this one I used a Magnolia stamp, various Maja Design paper, acrylic paint, candi, Memory Box and QuicKutz (Lifestyle Crafts) dies and cheese cloth.

And the side on view:

Copics used: (blue) B0000, B32, B34, B37, B39, (skin) E000, E00, E04, E21, (brown and hair) E53, E55, E57, E59, (gift) R20, R24, W1, W3, (ground) C1, C3, C5

Winter Molli

So, remember I said yes to making two Christmas cards for each month this year? I’m actually still on track. I finished this card in the evening on the 28th February, hahaha! I love adding a snowy effect to the winter themed cards using the acrylic paint. Previously I used to love tearing on the edges, but this is far less dusty!

The stamp is by La La Land Crafts and is called Winter Molli, and so is the tree die. Other products are papers from Maja Design, acrylic paint, Memory Box snowflakes, Baker’s Twine, Kort og Godt charm and cheese cloth.

And the side on view of the card.

Winter hugs

It is time for some mid-way inspiration at Copic Marker Norge and this is my contribution. We are trying something new for our challenges: playing with moodboards! Winter and chill and forest and snow is how I interpreted the moodboard.

I decided on a Ching-Chou Kuik image which I coloured in with Copics. The papers are Maja Design and I think they are my all time favourites. I love them!

Another photo from a different angle where it is easier to see the layers.

1. Winter Stella’s winter scene in traditional Christmas colours

Today is the first of December. I have decided I’m going to try to make one post here every day for the whole month! I certainly have enough to catch up on posting, so hopefully that will help me get caught up somewhat! It won’t be only Christmas and not only cards! Nor will they all have colouring.

Some of my projects will correspond with posts elsewhere, like this one. Copic Marker Norge is having an advent calendar and today is one of my days!

This card was made for a Secret Santa card swap in Make it Crafty.

The stamp is Winter Stella from Make it Crafty and is coloured in with copics. You can find the list of colours at the bottom. I have used various papers from Maja Design; the sentiment is from one of those papers, too. One of the dies is from Magnolia and the rest is from Noor Design. The glittery paper is from Søstrene Grene and I’ve used white acrylic paint on a lot of the elements. The flowers are by Papirdesign.

This is what it looks like with its matching tag

And here is a close-up of the colouring for a change.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, (hair) BV21, BV25, BV29, (eyes) YG01, YG03, YG67, (clothes) R22, R24, R27, R59, W0, W2, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47

Winter Stella with her snowman in a snowglobe

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas. It’s been a while since we had a proper white one, so perhaps we get lucky this year!

This card was made for a card swap and my partner was someone in Australia who had moved there from England. I figured snow was one of the main things she would no longer get around Christmas card, hence a cold, white, snowy card! Thankfully the card made it there just fine, so now I can post it up here, yey!

I’d only made one shaker card before I made this one, and this time around I decided to make the image sort of inside the card instead of adding the shaker part as the outmost part of the card. I think it looks pretty cool like this.

The stamp is Winter Stella with her little snowman. Isn’t it supercute? It’s from Make it Crafty. I’ve used Noor Design trees and the sentiment is cut out using blue foam with a die by KaBoks.

This is how it looks with the snow inside the shaker card all over the image.

Here is a close-up of the image.
