Whimsy penguin with candy cane

Pencil colouring is fun! My next pencil colouring will actually be my 10th and yesterday it was a month since I first tried coloured pencils. Not many of them have made it onto cards though, only 3 of them, of which one of them have made it onto the blog so far. I find it quite different to make cards with craft as the base colour instead of white, but I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it soon!

This time I’ve made a Christmas card using a penguin with candy cane by Whimsy Stamps, it’s in the Crissy Armstrong collection. Isn’t he adorable? As I wrote in the first paragraph, I haven’t made many cards using my pencil colourings, so for this one I took a page out of Elin‘s book. She’s the only one I know who makes clusters of paper scraps like this and I like it, so I thought I’d try it myself. I think it works well for my card!

I use prisma color premier pencils.

Friends decorating the tree

From tomorrow I should be able to get the posts up a bit earlier in the day again. This is what happens when you don’t have time to schedule up any, and write them all up on the day they go live! For this card I’ve used stamps from MFT Stamps, paper by Maja Design and a Papirdesign text stamp. Simple, but fun card!

I haven’t really got the time to list all the Copic Markers I used today, but if there’s a combination you’d like to know, just ask me!

Feeding birdies

When I first saw this stamp at Mo’s Digital Pencil I just knew I had to have it. I love the kid’s expression, the long scarf and well, everything. The little bird is just too cute and I decided to colour it up as a robin. I drew in a half-frame on the sentiment side of the card and used a sentiment stamp from Norsk Stempelblad. It didn’t stamp as nicely as I wanted, so I decided to keep the stamp as a shadow and write over it with a thin pen.

I’ve used the B90s, E70s, BG90, the usual skin colours and various Ns for this card.

LotV James bear watching the snow

I’ve signed up for a couple of Christmas card swaps and this is one of the cards I made. I used one of my favourite bear stamps, by Lili of the Valley, my favourite Maja Design papers along with my favourite lace. Can you spot a theme going here? I edged the outer papers with white acrylic paint to give the card even more of a wintery feel.

Copics used: E41, E42, E43, E44, N0, N1, N3 and the blues I don’t remember.. maybe it was the B30s..

A bit of green

With all the blue Christmas cards I’ve shared and will share, I thought I’d break it up a bit by adding one of the green ones. I don’t often make many green Christmas cards, but I’ve actually made a couple this year. This one is done with a Mo’s Digital Pencil image, a Papirdesign text stamp and a snowflake stamp by MFT Stamps. I’ve just drawn a border around it all and kept it simple.

I’ll see if I can find the copics I used for this and be back with them later on. The browns are E70s at least 🙂
