Bunny swing

I don’t remember what site I was browsing on Saturday, which is a shame, because it was quite inspiring. In fact, I went straight to my crafty corner, thinking ‘hey, I want to make something with that theme’. I don’t know what to call the theme.. Clean? Subtle? Not only did I make this card, but I also made three others that day, most following the theme for this card. Here is today’s card:

White. Lots and lots of white. That’s the best way to describe this card. I started out by colouring straight on my card blank. Lately I’ve been getting tired of the super smooth card I’ve been using for stamping, so I wanted to try something else. I stamped the image straight onto the card blank and started colouring. Not only did it work wonderfully, I was really pleased with how it used my copics. It was much easier to get the look I wanted! Now I have to find out where to buy similar card for colouring, I wonder if the plain A4 Digital Cardstock sheets at Craftwork Card are the same as the scalloped Back2Basic blanks. I shall have to investigate! It was a refreshing change colouring on a bit of texture. The image I used is from Lili of the Valley and is currently in their sales section. A great buy; it’s adorable! I added pale blue dots around the image for a light rain effect.

I decided I wanted a lilac frame before I was done colouring, so I made the swing ribbon and flowers in lilac shades. I cut the stamped image from the scalloped edge and clued it onto a new blank card, with a lilac layer in between. And that’s it! The card is done! I might add a sentiment stamp to it later when I decide on what to use the card for, but I think it looks great as it is also!
