I made a couple of cards before heading over to England a week and a half ago and completely forgot to take photos of them! Since then I have hassled my other half to get some photos taken for me (which was made more difficult as I had taken the camera home with me…) so I could post them here and today I finally have the evidence needed! The cards do in fact exist, heh. The card I made for this challenge is for his dad’s birthday.
For once it was super easy making a masculine card! I had made a card using this blank the previous day and loved how it turned out! (It will be posted here next week.) It made for a very easy choice of how to make this card. As I didn’t have many blue papers, I used the little blue I could find and matched it with aged newspaper type looking paper which conveniently was about motor bikes and vehicles. Perfect!
The front has less space than the inside, being smaller, so I decided to not use a stamp on the front. Instead I decorated it with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. (They are having a 10% off for a few days, so hurry before they goodies disappear! Typically, I placed a large order last night before the sale started… Oh well!) I also added a dark brown ribbon with a bow and a wooden button happy birthday sentiment.
Inside I made one half blue and one brown. The blue side got the stamped image, while the brown side gets the greeting. I used a stamp from Lili of the Valley (who are also having a sale!) of a boy reading the Happy Times newspaper! As it looks like his slippers are on the floor, I couldn’t resist colouring the ones he had on in pink, heh. It was all coloured in with copics.
Below you can see the card at two different angles. You can view a bigger size of both of these, as well as the one on the side, by clicking on them.

Fab man’s card thanks for sharing at Crafty Catz this week with our male challenge
Delightful, Liz! I love that you put flowers on a ‘guy’ card! Too many of us are afraid to do that but it really works on this one. Thanks for playing in the Masculine challenge at Tuesday Throwdown this week and I hope we see your creative work again soon.
