Wedding season

It appears to be wedding season. I have a friend getting married soon so I decided to have a play and make my first wedding cards. As I haven’t got a lot of stamps for the occasion, I decided on use vintage photos instead. A lady at work and a family friend were also interested, so this week I have made 5 different cards. This is the first of them.

The paper I have used is from Pion Design. It is great how the back of it matches the front! The vintage photo is also from Pion. I wanted to keep it simple, but floral and romantic. The doily was to break away from the background a little. Behind the card there is a tag, although not very visible in the photo! The ribbon is at the edge of the tag to help taking it out and putting it back in place. All the flowers and the pearl ribbon in the middle are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

This is how it looks inside. The purple scalloped circles will have ivory coloured circles inside either with printed text or for writing on by hand, depending on what the person giving it prefers!

This card has been entered into the following competitions:

Crafty Creations Challenges – #176: Embellish it
Delightful Challenges – Celebrate
Creative Inspirations – #169: Anything goes
Divas by Design – #41: Tag you’re it! (a better photo of the tag coming tomorrow)
Tuesday Throwdown – #104: Gingenham
