Copic Europe celebration

A month ago or so I spotted a post over at Copic Marker Europe that they were having a challenge running and that they provided the digital image to be used in the creation. As I have never really been provided with the actual image to use previously, I thought it would be a nice challenge and committed to join in by emailing for the two digital images that were provided.

After writing for the images, I coloured one of them in a few days later and left it. The one I chose had been drawn and donated to the challenge by Krista Smith of Saturated Canary. It was coloured in with copics. As it is so long since it was coloured, I don’t remember which colours I used, but if anybody if interested, just ask and I will find out. This is the first time I coloured in red hair and I am pleased with how it turned out. I have not had a lot of time to make cards recently, so it was left for nearly a month. Finally, a couple of days ago, I got the card finished. And today my new PC is up and running well enough to get photos downloaded from the camera and Photoshop opened. I was getting a bit worried I wouldn’t get this done in time for the end of the challenge!

The background papers I used were scraps I had left over. I am trying to use up my scraps to get the crafting corner tidied up a bit, as I don’t like throwing away the bigger bits of scrap material.

To jazz it up a bit I used dark pink and silver glitter clue, as well as a silver pen. I drew around the edges of some of the paper and on some of the flowers. I also used silver glitter clue on the pink butterfly ribbon. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

This card has been entered into the following challenge:

I want my blog to be a happy place, with the focus on various bits of crafting. Today I make an exception. However, I have made it into its own post, here. Because today is 22nd July, and I am Norwegian.
