Summer breeze

Ah, a few days off! I decided to take a studying break as well, so there has been much card making and other random fun stuff I don’t normally have a lot of time for! Shame it’s all back to normal again on Tuesday, but until then I shall enjoy every moment! Tomorrow all the crafty stuff is going to be tidied away until my exams are done, but I have made a fair few, so I have some to post over the next five weeks! Anyway, time to move onto today’s card:

I finally gave in and decided to try out digital stamps. Saturated Canary was a great place to start, what a talented lady she is! I purchased this adorable image with a kite in it. After printing it there are a few things I shall keep in mind for next time. I have gotten some new A5 sized paper now as well which I reckon will be better for printing on. The image printed smaller than I would have liked to keep the details, but it still wasn’t bad. I coloured it in with copics, primarily blues! It was a bit tricky with all the details, but I will soon get rid of it!

This was the first card, I think, that I’ve made which is both feminine and blue! All the cards I have made previously with blues in them were either Christmas cards or cards for boys. I was a little surprised when I realised this, as I love blue! In fact I made another card after this which was also blue!

The papers I used are from First Edition Paper. I love the paper they make! I framed it with a very deep blue and used an ivory coloured card blank from back2basic. Limes, greens and yellow is where I ended up here, not colour combinations I have done much of anywhere. I used a bit of lace and some blue ribbon. Then I made up a bouquet of flowers using flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
