PFS Big Snowman

I have another new card to share from the latest Picket Fence Studios (this and following links are all affiliate links) release. When I first saw this snow I knew I had to colour him up in a no-line version! It is a little bit tricky, but it also gives the stamp a bit of a different look. And if I have a weak spot I think it must be just this, snowmen in no-line. The stamp is called Snowone Else Like You

Isn’t he adorable? I put him in the corner and masked him off to create the darker blue background with Distress Oxides before using the Liquid White Snowflake Paper Splatter Watercolor to make it look like it is snowing. Then I used my Copics to colour him up. For the sentiment I used one of the word stamps from Merry Christmas Friends, stamped it up in a deeper shade of red, and used the coordinating die for it. Then I put it on the card using foam tape to give it some dimension. To finish it all off I used snowflakes from the Nostalgic Times mix and red sequins from the Vintage Christmas mix.

Here you can see how pretty the sequins are and get everything at a close-up. If you love sequins and shaker mixes, then Picket Fence Studios is really the place to browse around. They have so many gorgeous mixes!

This card is also a part of a feature over at Scrapbook and Cards today. You can view it here.

MFT Superstar

I was unsure for a while, if I would be able to make a card for the contest or not, but here I am! This year I’ve decided to only enter in one of the categories: Clean and Simple Genius . Yup, you guessed it, it is the annual Superstar contest over at My Favorite Things!

A friend and I have been ordering together a few times the past year or two, to save on postage, and this adorable set I ordered arrived just last week. I am loving the new designs, so of course I had to pick a Jenoblade. Here is Fall for You. The scene stamp is stamped in no-line and coloured in pale colours, and then the other stamp is coloured in bolder colours, with a dash of contrasting pink (which I reused for the card stock border on the side). The sentiment is from the Everything Wonderful set (loving these sentiments!).

So yeah, this is my Superstar entry this year. Good luck to all the participants! Have a great Sunday, everyone.

PFS Spooky Halloween release

Picket Fence Studios (this and all following links are affiliate links) is out with one massive release. It’s very spooky and autumn themed, and it also has quite a few florals. Isn’t that just perfect? I’ve actually chosen to play with stencils, die cuts and colours for my release cards this month. First I will show you this spooky house card and tomorrow you will also find a witch card on the blog!

I started by ink blending the background by covering the area for the moon so it would have any ink on it. I ink blended straight onto the card base and made sure it covered well all the way to the edges. Then I used the Haunted Moon blending stencil and a pale coloured ink to make the moon. Later I die cut the A2 Ghost House cover plate die a few times and glued them together for dimension. Before gluing the top layer I embossed the Boo! sentiment. The sentiment is from the Ghosts of Halloween Past set. A few pretty purple sequins from the I’m Alive embellishment jar finished off the card.

Here is a side-on view of the card. You can see the house is raised from the background. That is because I have cut it out three times and glued them together.

And here you can see a more detailed photo.

Filming and Photography

No,I don’t mean doing those things, but actually a card made for someone who loves those things. The film part in particular.

I made this card a little while back, but I wanted to wait with showing until said person had received their card. I bought most of the items for it when I was in Sweden for Easter, at Rozzan’s shop. The shame of the card is made with my trusted Go Kreate dies and acrylic painted the edges white. Some of the papers are by Maja Design, while others are by Mintay. The main image is also part of the Mintay paper pad, and some of the cut outs as well. There are some items from 49 and Market as welll.

Love Heart

I’ve taken some time to play around with some goodies I bought earlier this year. This is the Mod Heart by Mama Elephant which I bought at ByCino. It is such a fun heart and I die cut it in loads of different card stocks colours so I could mix and match. The card stocks are mostly by Papertrey Ink and MFT Stamps.

The sentiment is by Spellbinders and the sentiment strip is by Altenew.
