Grow a little love, CAS

First Tuesday of the month meeeaaans new Tiddly Inks challenge, yey! Our theme this month is Give Love.

Tiddly Inks challenge means Tiddly Inks image, and it wasn’t hard to pick one of my favourites for this. It is called Grow a Little Love. I made a circular frame for her and cropped her to fit inside it, and with her hair peeking slightly outside it looks like a big speech bubble! I coloured in with Copics and made the heart background using distress oxide ink and a heart stencil from Carta Bella. The sentiment and hearts are from a TCP Studio stamp set which I embossed onto the card. A Magnolia border die and some pearls helped finishing off the card.

Copics used: (hair) E70, E74, E77, (skin) E00, E02, E04, E13, E15, (dark pink) RV14, R35, R39, R89, (pink) RV00, R81, R83, R85 + white gel pen

Thankful heart, CAS

This is one of my favourite Tiddly Inks images. I love the close-up, framed style of it. The last time I used this image on a card, I had loads of layers, so I wanted this one to be different. CAS it is!

The name of the stamp is Thankful Heart and you can find it here. I’ve coloured it up with copics. The papers is by Paper Cellar, the bottom sentiment by Stempelglede and the black buttons are candi by Craftwork Cards.

Here is another photo of the card; a close-up of the coloured image.

Copics used: (sky) B34, C1, (hair) E41, E42, E43, E44, (skin) E000, E00, E04, E21, (jar) B000, B00, B02, (flowers) R22, R24, R59, Y04, Y19, Y38, YG63, YG67, (dress) BG53, BG57, BG78

Wryn birthday girl

A little girl liked my lollipop Christmas cards, so when her birthday was coming up, I had to make one of these for her! I used Wryn Birthday Girl by Tiddly Inks and coloured it up with Copics. A little bit of glitter was needed and she loved it!

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E21,  (hair) E71, E74, E77, E79, (purples) V01, V04, V06, V09, (yellow) Y13, Y19, Y38, YR18, E08, (green) YG61, YG63, YG67, (ground) W1, W3, W5

Fairy Sunny Day “photos” card

Do you always colour the images as they were when you bought them? Or do you dare to experiment? To crop, resize and make something a bit different? Christy of Tiddly Inks asked a question that (perhaps unintentionally, haha) got me thinking a bit outside the box. I quickly made a few frames in Photoshop using the Fairy Sunny Day stamp to show what I was thinking and was instantly inspired to make a card with it.

My idea was to have several photos in a film strip type style. I aligned her slightly different in each rectangle and then cropped off what I didn’t need. For the final rectangle I zoomed in a little bit to get her nice and close. As I really enjoyed this, you will probably see me do this again!

So what is the most difficult part about using the same image several times?! Trying to colour it somewhat similar in all versions, hahaha. This is the first time I’ve coloured the same image repeatedly for one card! The hair was the most interesting! Let’s see the result.

Isn’t the chipboard perfect for this? Make it Crafty chipboards are great. I don’t know why I took so long to acquire some! I coloured it with the same colours I did her dress and then printed the sentiment directly onto the card.

Another photo, of course. Isn’t Wryn the cutest?!

Copics used: (hair) E70, E71, E74, E77, (skin) E000, E00, E04, E21, (dress) B000, B32, B34, B37, (wings) RV00, RV02, RV04, (flowers) R24, R59, Y04, Y19, YG63, YG67, (sky) B000, B32 + blender

Maybe you’d like to try to make one as well? If you don’t know how to do the frames to put the stamps in, you can use the one I made. Click on the images to get the full size and then right click to save them to your computer. The first one is a .png with a transparent background and the second is a .jpg with a white background.

I would love it if you gave me credit and linked to my site if you decide to use one of them. Please don’t share the images, but direct people here instead. 🙂

Panda bookmark

Well, a panda hat at least! The girl I was making this for had her sixth birthday just last week and has just started reading her first proper book on her own, so of course she needed a bookmark! She requested something with a panda and when I showed her this image she screamed yes so I guess it was just what she wanted! Of course as she’d seen the sparkly dress from a couple of days ago, this dress had to sparkle too, and be pink!

The adorably cute image is by Tiddly Inks and is called Beary Sweet. Such a perfect name!

I will not show the back side of it as it has her name on it. However, I will share the quote I decided to use: ”Allt stort som skedde i världen skedde först i någon människas fantasi.” by Astrid Lindgren. It roughly translates into: “Everything great that ever happened in the world happened first in somebody’s imagination.”

Perhaps I should make myself one too. My goal this year is to read 20 books. Do you have a reading goal?

And here it is on its own.

Copics used: (hair) E71, E74, E77, E79, (skin) E000, E00, E04, E21, (dress) RV10, RV13, RV14, RV17, R59, (white) W0, W1, W2, (black) W7, W9, (background) RV00, W1, W3, W5. + 2 different white pens.
