Spring is definitely here and both grass and trees are turning green. So how about a card to celebrate just that?
I have used the Woodland background stamp together with Marigold. One of the things I appreciate when it comes to these stamps are the names given to the different animals. I love that they all have their own names! Anyway, they are two of the great stamps over at Purple Onion Designs, both from the Stacey Yacula collection. The sentiment is from the Everyday Blurbs set.
Guess what I’ve not made in forever? A layered card without any colouring! I saw these Mintay papers when visiting Rozzan’s shop when I was in Sweden last and I couldn’t walk away without a few different paper pads. As if I need anymore papers… But! This time I had a plan right away. I knew exactly what to make! Someone’s birthday was coming up and a sea themed card was perfect. For once I didn’t feel like colouring something as well, so it was perfect!
I’ve made another card with some of the watermelon themed stuff from the latest Picket Fence Studios release. This time I’ve used the Sweet Sweet Dear stamp set. The sweet girl seems to very much enjoy her watermelon. I used cardstock to match in colours before die cutting the watermelon in the A Rainbow Die for all Seasons die set. I coloured up each part individually and then put it on a black card stock to make the seeds visible. I used the same colours for the watermelon die as on the watermelon the girl is holding.
I made this card a bit over a month ago and then I forgot to post it up as I wanted to wait until the recipient’s birthday had been and gone to not spoil the surprise. Here it is though, with one of Mo’s Digital Stamps’ most recent stamps, Champagne for Two. I made sure the dress was sparkly and used matching sequins. As I couldn’t find the sentiment I wanted, I simply made it and printed it.
I’m back today with another Picket Fence Studios card! I’ve taken quite a break from crafting and social media the past few weeks, because I’ve decided to take on some studies and simply had to try to catch up a bit! I’m starting to get a bit more on track, so hopefully the posts will be more regular again!
Anyway, today’s card features the new Royal Sweetpea stamp. Isn’t it pretty? I wanted to mix things up a little and made a tall slim line card. The sentiment is put down the side of a card, because sometimes it’s fun to do something a bit different. The die cut is half of the Slimline Happy Birthday die set, and I’ve coupled it with parts of one of the stamps from The Flower Shoppe set. To get the text raised from the paper and coloured flowers, I’ve layered the die cut several times. The sequins are from the Peacock Tails sequin mix
