Fun with Mintay papers

Guess what I’ve not made in forever? A layered card without any colouring! I saw these Mintay papers when visiting Rozzan’s shop when I was in Sweden last and I couldn’t walk away without a few different paper pads. As if I need anymore papers… But! This time I had a plan right away. I knew exactly what to make! Someone’s birthday was coming up and a sea themed card was perfect. For once I didn’t feel like colouring something as well, so it was perfect!

LLLC: Water Ripples

So, the NEW RELEASE stencils at La-La Land Crafts are so good! I really do love how you can use one over the other to get a cool effect. Let me show you!

Did you see my card yesterday with the see-through area? Well, I’ve made another! This time the water in the back is made with the new Water Ripples stencil! Which, btw, I absolutely love. Doesn’t it look so pretty? I only used two different colours of distress ink as well. Loving it!

I’ve used various stamps from the Jaws Because clear stamp set to add loads of sea creatures to the card. Most of the coloured images are on the front, and I’ve added most of the die cuts inside the card.

Here you can see the card at an angle, so it is easier to see how I have done the front part with the see-through area.

Jaws Because clear stamp
Make a Splash

LLLC: Make a Splash

Guess what!!?

It’s RELEASE DAY at La-La Land Crafts! Wooo! It has a maritime theme and it is great! Honest!

I’ve decided to try something new again. I wanted part of the front of the card to be transparent, so that you can see through it and then the inside is filled with loads of stuff. I’ve used the background stamp and heat embossed on some clear powder. I think it looks pretty cool!

All the stamps have been coloured up with the no-lines technique for this card, to remove the hard lines.

Here you can see the card at a slight angle so you can see how the front part is mostly transparent with all the sea creatures on the inside.

Make a Splash
Seas the Day background stamp

Sea Shells
Sea Critters

Beach baby

It is so grim and gray outside today and being outdoors was certainly not tempting! How dull! Nah, I’m joking. What a perfect reason to make cards! I have made quite a few cards today actually. This post here is the card I made for my youngest cousin who will be 11 next month.

Summer, sea and shells.

Today’s card was made with inspiration of summer, sea and shells.  I spotted a jar of shells in a shop while just have a looking randomly as I was waiting for somebody. A few days later I was able to put them to good use and have made more cards using shells since, which I hope to post soon. As I haven’t got a sea-side inspired stamp, I went with a country themed one instead for this card.
