Beach baby

It is so grim and gray outside today and being outdoors was certainly not tempting! How dull! Nah, I’m joking. What a perfect reason to make cards! I have made quite a few cards today actually. This post here is the card I made for my youngest cousin who will be 11 next month.

She is quite fond of water and swimming so I went hunting for a stamp to fit the purpose. I found a great one at Saturated Canary by Krista Smith. It is called beach baby. I added some water to the scenery behind her so I could get some blue added. Everything has been coloured with copics. Red was chosen for the top and sandals I decided to use that colour throughout various elements as well.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the shells from a local shop. The sandy paper is from an old pad I have by Ursus (I think) called Inspiration and the boats are from Maja Design. The happy birthday die and stamp are from Whimsy Stamps.

This card has been entered into the following challenges:

Saturated Canary – #20: Red, White and Blue
Allsorts – Week 160: Any die will do
Creatalicious – #35: Anything goes (second entry)
Cute Card Thursday – #222: Here comes summer
Paper Play Challenges – ’12 Week 25: Use a die
The Poodles Parlour – Red White and Blue
2 Sisters Challenge Blog – #97: Anything goes

Wow! I cannot believe it, but my card has been picked twice! Thank you so much for this honour.
