LLLC: Pretty Diamonds

The NEW RELEASE at La-La Land Crafts has stencils! And not just any stencils… they come in pairs, so you can use both together or one at a time! How cool is that?!

I’ve used a lighter blue on one of the stencils, then lined the the other over the top and used a darker blue. I think it’s a pretty cool stencil, and you can use one of them several times or use them together as you like. Great way to get multiple colours also! Aaaand they can be used for embossing as well. Unfortunately I don’t have any samples of that myself as I have misplaced my rubber mat somewhere… or it’s hiding.. I’m not sure!

The card is pretty simple. I do like my CAS cards! The life preserver die was cut out in white and then I coloured it in. I think it adds a nice splash of colour on the mostly blue and white card.

Wryn in a peach coloured dress

First Tuesday of the month and you know what that means, right? It’s time for a new challenge at Tiddly Inks! This time we’re playing around with a moodboard. I’ve used the adorable Wryn Wishes, coloured with no-lines technique and given her a peach coloured dress. I played around to get a colour combination I liked and I think I’ll use that one more for sure!

The layout as kept really simple with some craft card stock and Maja Design paper. The frame and sentiment chipboard are from Make it Crafty and I coloured them in to match the image.

Faythe’s Cherry Flowers

Recently Tiddly Inks was out with a new image. It’s called Faythe’s Cherry Flowers. Of course I had to get it and use it as I think it is really sweet. I quite like the character Faythe and her awesome hair.

I’ve used various papers from Maja Design along with some La-La Land Crafts dies and a Make It Crafty chipboard which I coloured with both matching colours and the white dots of the dress.

Konfirmasjonskort

I have made a confirmation card for a boy. I opted out of using a coloured image this time around and instead I went with one of the prints from Maja Design. All the background papers are also Maja Design. I used some blue and white twine, a guitar charm from Kort og Godt and some chipboard stars by Papirdesign that matched the colours rather well. The inside was decorated with a pocket for money or a gift certificate on one side and a space for writing on the other side.

LLLC: Mother’s Day

Friday is now my new designated La-La Land Crafts day. The theme of the week is Mother’s Day. Here we had our Mother’s Day back in February.

I’ve once again coloured up one of their stamps with the no-lines technique. For some reason I seem to prefer colouring their stamps that way. Who knew I’d ever warm up to that feeling! It’s a cool challenge, though, and I’m getting more and more confident with it. I added a little bit of texture to her skirt so it has a bit of a denim feel to it. You can find a link to the stamp and the list of colours below.

I’ve used some Maja Design paper to go with the background stamp from LLLC which I did in a matching purple ink. Isn’t it pretty?! I absolutely love it! The various dies are listed at the bottom of the post. The butterflies are just so pretty and I love that heart die! As I didn’t really have a fitting sentiment I could emboss onto the dark blue background, I simply just wrote it myself! That works, too, right?! The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts.
