Butterfly madness

This is one of my favourite cards from last year. I just never got around to posting it! The darling image is by Ching-Chou Kuik and is called So Long Yesterday. I coloured it all in with copics and I am quite pleased how the hair turned out. It was one of the very first times I was really pleased with my hair colouring! Yes, I, too, am wondering why on earth I’ve not put it up here until now!

The flowers are as always Wild Orchid Crafts and these butterflies are made with Martha Stewart punchers.

Time for an imageless card

It has been a long time since I posted a card with a pre-coloured image, but it has been even longer since I posted one without an image on it at all. In fact, I don’t remember when that even was. That means I am due to post one, I am sure!!

Here is a card I made for my aunt’s 50th birthday. One of the blogs I admire is by Klaudia and her posts inspired me to make this card. Check out the totally awesome stuff on her blog.

I roughed up the paper, which is solid purple card and Maja Design, to give it a shabby feel. All the butterflies and leaves are made using Noor Design dies. The numbers are using QuicKutz dies whereas all the flowers are by Wild Orchid Craft apart from the berry looking ones which are from Live and Love Crafts. LLC is also the place where I purchased the lace.

Moonflower’s Tumbelina

The lovely Anne Lise asked me to be guest designer for Barnemix again, so of course I had to say yes! The image I was given to work with is by Moonflower and is called Tumbelina. For this project we were given the theme white on white. Something which I am generally quite terrible at, but I gave it a go!

I coloured it in with copics and figured keeping it all white would be a bit dull! That is why I gave her a glow and a pink dress, but I tried to keep both her hair and the dress reasonably light, somewhat inspired by distress ink colouring actually, and I kept the flowers white. It was fun to try to colour something in lighter shades!

I have used a lot of plain card stock for the card, but a small border with a Lili of the Valley background paper. I used some lace from Kaboks, Martha Stewart punchers and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts as well as Live and Love Crafts.

Spring swing

Time for a new Mi Ran anything goes challenge in the facebook group. This month we have the optional theme of: Things with Wings! I chose the gorgeous Haylee for this and coloured her in with copics. As we’ve had a crap summer and autumn is around the corner, I deliberately chose a spring theme!

The papers I have used are by Lili of the Valley and the flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and Live and Love Crafts. I used a couple of Martha Stewart punchers to make the butterflies. As the theme is things with wings I used it as an excellent excuse to add then! The border is also made using a Martha Stewart puncher and the leaves with a Noor Designs die.

Bookaholic

Just back from a few days over in England. Spent a couple of days in lovely Liverpool! I popped by Range in Blackburn as well and got me a couple of paper pads… as if I needed any more! Heh. I’ve already used one of them on this card, as well as my most recent Lili of the Valley purchase!

It is time for yet another challenge over at Mi Ran’s Facebook group! The theme is, as usual, anything goes! I decided to use Bookaholic Kaite for this and coloured it in with Copics. The butterflies and leaves are from Noor Design dies and a Martha Stewart puncher. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The small circles are card candi by Craftwork Cards.
