Butterflowers

Bloglovin; love it! It was incredibly easy to transfer all the blogs I was following on blogger over to it and now I have all my blogs neatly arranged in categories so I can easily find blogs I am looking for as I can never remember the names of all of them when I want to look for something. The layout of it all is very good and I love how I get an extra toolbar where I can go to the next or previous new blog post. It is a shame some people require using blogger to follow to enter in things, as I reckon I won’t bother with them for much longer, but hopefully following through Bloglovin will be more popular soon. I love how I can now easily follow non-blogger blogs! Give it a try! Here is a link if you’d like to follow my blog on Bloglovin.

Anyway, I have a card today too; an easel card! The paper is from first edition paper, and the butterfly edge is made with a Tim Holtz I got for my birthday (a bit early). The lovely image is a pre-coloured one from Lili of the Valley. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the ribbon I used is from Dovecraft. The leaves are made with a Martha Stewart puncher and the card blank is from Craftwork Cards. All the scalloped circles are made with QuicKutz dies.

Spring Christmas

Let’s face it. Spring is on hiatus, so a Christmas card feels just as appropriate as a spring card and we’re nearly in April already! I am loving my stay in London. We spent last night at the Savoy Theatre for the ‘Let It Be’ musical and it was very good indeed! Although I admit I loved my little shopping spree in the M&Ms world afterwards as well, heh.

Anyway, card! This one is made with blank white card, purple card and pion papers. The image is from Inkido and the ribbon is from a local shop, as are the purple pearls I believe. As always, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the branches are made with a Martha Stewart puncher. I cannot recall where the snow crystal is from unfortunately.

Dreaming of springtime

I have escaped over to London for Easter, hoping for some lovely, highly sought after spring. But no. We’re at the end of March and would you believe it, it is snowing here as well. So much for wanting to replace white and wet with sunshine and flowers. This is why I have a spring card for you today.

The image is a Sylvia Zet one, which I have coloured in with various Copics. As always I cannot seem to recall where the papers are from. Well, the one in the circle is from a First Editions Paper pad, at least. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the branches are made with a Martha Stewart puncher. The sentiment is made with a Lili of the Valley stamp. Let’s see if I can remember most of the copics I used… Blues would be B00, B000 and B0000; the skin colour is probably E50, E51 and E53; the greens are G40, G82 and G94, the shoes and basket are E42 and E44, and the hair I believe is done with E53, E55 and E57.

Bunny date

Oh holiday, how I needed thee. It’s already a couple of days into the holiday and I am very much enjoying not having a long list of “need-to-dos”. I am however considering purchasing a cutter and some paper and make some cards while on holiday though, heh..

The stamped sentiment caught the flash a bit, but it says “have yourself a very happy birthday” and is from Lili of the Valley. Its ink really isn’t quite as pale as it looks in the photo, heh. As is the pre-coloured image I have used. The colourful buttons are from Craftwork Cards and are called card candy. All the flowers are (as always) from Wild Orchid Crafts and the branches are made with a Martha Stewart puncher.

My easter buddy

Easter is around the corner. I only just realised this when I opened the fridge yesterday and saw the “easter mystery” cartoon on the milk carton. Don’t ask, lol. Anyway, as I have next to no time before I go away for two weeks tomorrow, I had a spur of inspiration and made a card this morning. Why do I always feel most inspired when I have the least time to craft? Maybe it’s because it looks like I won’t get much else done today as I’m feeling rather unwell. Oh well, the card did get done!

I have used a giant scalopped circle to make the base of the card. I’ve used some plain green card stock and some patterned paper from First Edition paper to go with. I have used a pre coloured Sylvia Zet image from The Hobby House. Isn’t it adorable? The stamped sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, the flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbon is from a local shop and I have used a fair bit of distress ink.

Happy Easter everybody!
