Vase full of flowers

I was bitten by the crafting bug this weekend and got six or seven cards made. I’m starting to get a nice pile of them now for when I have less time to make any.

On this card I have used various bits of background paper I have had for ages, a Lili of the Valley stamp I coloured in with Copics, lots of pearls, leaves made with a Martha Stewart puncher, ribbon from a local shop (I’m pleased how the bow turned out) and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

This card has been entered into the following challenges:

Thank you so much to Sketchy Colours for having my card as a winner of this challenge. I love my new stamps and paper!

Hello there

I am back into card making again and I have coloured up several images ready to be made into cards this week. It is about time I make some more where I use my stamps and colour them in again as I have used a lot of pre coloured ones as of late. They are so easy to use, though, so I figured if I pre-coloured some myself it would help, heh.

This card has been made with Tim Holtz paper, a Lili of the Valley sentiment stamp with distressed edges as well as a Lili of the Valley pre-coloured image. Isn’t it adorable? The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I have also used candi from Craftwork Cards; the card blank is also from there. The branches are made with a Martha Stewart puncher.

Innocence

This is another card made on request. As usual I don’t remember where the background papers are from. This time it’s actually bugging me as I wouldn’t mind another sheet or two of it. Oh well! The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the branches are made with a Martha Stewart puncher. I have used a die cut pre-coloured images from Lili of the Valley, some pearls, a 3D butterfly and some plain card stock (purple and green) as well.

Summer fairies

As it is a new year, it is time to show off something new I tried. It was great fun and turned into one of my favourite cards thus far.

This card was made using very simple striped pink paper layered over a bright green plain card. I had ribbon matching the green card and tied a little bow for it. Then I made a floral border using a Martha Stewart puncher on deep pink card. The image itself was tricky. It is made with lots of layers of decoupage images glued together with gel glue. This is the first time I’ve used both decoupage images and the gel glue and it was getting tricky to align them properly when I got to the small bits at the top. The sentiment is a stamp from Lili of the Valley put on a pink scalloped circle. I made green branches with another Martha Stewart puncher and added several flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. The different pearls are all from Wild Orchid Crafts as well.
