Green goth maiden

Finally weekend. My sinuses are none too happy so I suppose I will be spending most of the weekend with a bunged up head… Oh well, I guess I’ll get some crafting done, eh!

This card was made for a challenge at Kit and Clowder in their facebook group. You got this gorgeous free digital image by Ching-Chou Kuik and were to colour it in lilac and teal inspired tones. Look at all the butterflies it’s got! Yey! I think this is the first time I have ventured into the land of unusual hair colours. I coloured it all in with copics using mostly BG70s and BV0s for the teal and lilac shades. At the end I added some liquid pearls to the butterflies.

The papers are by Lili of the Valley and this pad fit the colours I used in the colouring perfectly. I have used a bunch of flowers and big pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts and made butterflies with some Noor Design dies. At the end I added a pearl row to give the butterflies a body, and gold glitter to the end of the wings so they tied in better with the ones I coloured in.

Pearl – Mi Ran challenge GDT

Oh wow. I got chosen as a guest designer for a challenge at Mi Ran’s challenges! What a complete surprise! I am so pleased! This is what I have made for their challenge number 20. The theme is Anything Goes, so colour up one of her wonderful images and play along. Maybe it will be your turn as a guest designer next time!!

I have, obviously, used a Mi Ran image for the card, Pearl, big eyed girl, and I have coloured it in with copics. The papers are Maja Design and Papermania. Most of the pearls, the flowers, the lace and the ribbon are all by Wild Orchid Crafts. I have used Martha Stewart punchers as well as a Magnolia die. The sentiment is by Lili of the Valley.

The copics I used were:

Face: E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E42, E43, E44, E47, R20,
Eyes: YG93, YG97,

Kiss for the teddy bear

Time for another non-Christmas card. This is a step card made from a WhichCraft card blank and papers from Papermania. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Cafts, the punchers are Martha Stewart, the ribbon from The Hobby House, the lace from a local shop. I have made the sentiment myself and coloured in an Elisabeth Bell image found on the art pads you can buy at The Hobby Hose. I used Copics to colour it.

Sleepy dragon

It has been quiet from me the past few days as I have decided to do my Christmas shopping early this year. Well… start on it early anyway. So Manchester with its Christmas markets, Arndale Centre and Trafford Centre, as well as a trip to Blackburn is taking up most of my week! I have actually gotten a good start on the gift shopping as well, yey! Anyway, because there are Christmas decorations everywhere already, Christmas Carols played over the speakers and Christmas films on the TV, my card today is perhaps as far away from Christmas as it gets!

I have coloured in this adorable Sylvia Zet Wee Stamps dragon copics. The ribbons are from the Hobby House, the background paper is Papermania, the sentiment is Kort&Godt, the flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts and I believe the die is a QuicKutz one.

Elephant magic

I made a Christmas card this morning and thought I’d, once again, get it added straight away. I have used a pre-coloured topper by Wild Rose Studio this time. I jazzed it up with putting glitter on top of the swirly magic, as well as adding some silver liquid pearls for an added snow effect. The flowers, purple ribbon and bows as well as the big purple pearls are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The dark purple paper is from Kaboks, and the light purple paper used for the dies is by Lili of the Valley. The ribbon and pearly lace strip is from a local shop.  I have used various dies from Noor! design for the snowflake border and two stand alone snowflakes. They are such pretty dies!

I have decided to enter this is the design team call at Noor! design, so this bit here will be for that purpose. I am Liz and thirty-something living in Norway and I’ve been crafting since summer 2011, mostly making cards. When it comes to crafting, I mostly use my blog, but also I belong to various Facebook crafting groups and use instagram occasionally, though mostly for scenery photos I admit! Although I am on Twitter, I don’t use it very much. I have previous been on the DT team for a challenge blog, and for The Hobby House. Normally I don’t really try to apply for any design teams, but this one just felt right to apply for. One of the reasons is that I have been very pleased with swift and wonderful service provided by Noor! design, and the other is obviously that I love their designs. I mean, who wouldn’t?! I will be using these dies all the time and would love to show my work to fellow Noor! design fans. As I am not on any other DTs I would have the time required to dedicate to this one. I use both pre-coloured images and stamps I colour myself for my cards.

Here is a close up of the  Noor! design dies I used on this card:
