Another flowery ballerina

Today is the day. My first proper unspirational post for Copic Marker Norge. I have admittedly put it off because the other girls are super talented and I enjoy looking at their creations. But when you’re due, you’re due, and I am! Don’t forget to enter in our current bingo challenge while you’re there!

I absolutely loved how this ballerina from Aurora Wings turned out last month, so I decided to colour her up again. This time the image is 7.5cm (whereas it was about 10cm last time) so I had to be even more careful and watch the details even closer. It was quite the challenge, but fun!

The papers are by Pion, which I ruffled up and layered with some cheese cloth (bikuben), lace and pearls (LLC), and ribbon. The flowers are as usual from WoC and LLC. I made the top sentiment myself and the bottom one is from LotV.

Shy Violet

It is Tuesday and time for a new Tiddly Inks challenge. This time it is anything goes!! How easy, right?! Or in my case, super hard! I spend far less time choosing an image when there’s a specific theme, than I do when I can choose whatever I want. I am awkward though, I know…

In the end, the decision fell on Shy Violet. The listed stamp is not just one, but two stamps. I used the other stamp, the flower, for my release card, and I thought it was time to use this cutie as well! All coloured in with Copics, of course. I went for a rather pale look for once, which I tend to find hard to do.

The papers are Lili of the Valley which I cut out using GoKreate dies and distressed the edges with purple. To jazz it up a bit I used extra distress ink on the second background and added frantage to some of the layers. The decorations are made with various goodies from Noor Design (the butterflies), Wild Orchid Crafts (the flowers) and Live and Love Crafts (the pearl chain, the berry flower and the lace). The ribbon I purchased online from a dress shop. Isn’t it pretty?!

Time for an imageless card

It has been a long time since I posted a card with a pre-coloured image, but it has been even longer since I posted one without an image on it at all. In fact, I don’t remember when that even was. That means I am due to post one, I am sure!!

Here is a card I made for my aunt’s 50th birthday. One of the blogs I admire is by Klaudia and her posts inspired me to make this card. Check out the totally awesome stuff on her blog.

I roughed up the paper, which is solid purple card and Maja Design, to give it a shabby feel. All the butterflies and leaves are made using Noor Design dies. The numbers are using QuicKutz dies whereas all the flowers are by Wild Orchid Craft apart from the berry looking ones which are from Live and Love Crafts. LLC is also the place where I purchased the lace.

Faythe on Fail Friday

Tiddly Inks Fab Friday was.. last Friday. That makes this.. Fail Friday on my part! Fail Friday is when you miss Fab Friday as you have no idea what day it is due to being ill and having jet lag. Doh me! Anyway, here is my Fab Fail card!

I used the super cute Faythe from Tiddly Inks. I coloured the image in with Copics and followed one of Alyce’s skin and hair tutorials at Kit and Clowder to get the hair like that, although I also improvised a little. As I have been having fun making a few more darker themed cards as of late, I followed up somewhat with this by drawing in the cracks, painting the edges of the card (at least I avoided black, eh?!), and using cheese cloth. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, apart from the berry looking ones which are Live and Love Crafts. The dotted paper and sentiment stamp is by Lili of the Valley and sadly I don’t remember where the orange one is from as I’d like more of it! I’ve used Go Kreate dies for the card shape, some Craftwork Cards card candi and a couple of ribbons.

Eirwen in the snow

Time for another Mi Ran progressive challenge! The name of this pretty lady is Eirwen. If you want to play along with us, simply go to our Facebook group to see all the details. If you don’t want to, then well, you’ll simply have to wait a month to get a hold of her in Mi Ran’s shop. Who’d want to wait that long, right?!

I took forever to decide which colour to do her dress in! As red was the obvious colour I wanted to pick something else. It was a fight between green and purple, and as you can see: purple won. I coloured it all in with copics.

For this card I decided to go with a lot of dies instead of a lot of flowers! All the dies on the left hand side are by Noor Design, whereas I have used a Tim Holtz snowflake die on the right and a Martha Stewart puncher for the branches. The papers used on this card are by Kaboks and Lili of the Valley. To jazz it up a bit, I’ve pained all the trees and papers with white acrylic paint to make it look like it’s been snowing. I also used white frantage on the image (which is hard to see on the white background in the photo, but it looks look on the actual card. I also added a hint of glitter to all the white puffy bits on the image. I couldn’t leave flowers off completely either, so I used a few from Wild Orchid Crafts.
