New tiddly release flower with Shy Violet

New Tiddly Inks release time! Yey! I actually managed to colour up two of the new images before they went live. They are so very cute! Here is the first one I did. It is the violet included with the Shy Violet stamp. Trust me to choose to colour up the included stamp and make a card with that, rather than the main one! This stamp is great though, you can use it for ANYTHING! Perfect!

Obviously I coloured it in with copics.. I’ll let you know the day I use something else! The papers are by Lili of the Valley, the doily Dovecraft, the lace Live and Love Crafts and the butterfly dies Noor Design. The flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts and I added dark pink glittery glue inside so they would match the flowers I coloured up. I’ve also used distress ink, liquid pearls, rows of pearls, and a ribbon from a local shop.

Baby Inks

Ok, so it’s not Tuesday. My post is late! As I was so busy working on the new Tiddly Inks release I never scheduled my post ahead of time and when I went to add it Tuesday morning the modem was dead and I’ve not had Internet until now.. doh! So here it is!

The new Tiddly Inks challenge theme is Baby Inks! I used Sleep Tight Baby and coloured it in with Copics. Do come play along, I’d love to see your makes!

The card base is made with Go Kreate dies. The berry flowers and lace are from Live and Love Crafts, the flowers and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbon from a local shop and the papers are by Lili of the Valley. I also used liquid pearls, a Noor Design die and a Martha Stewart puncher.

Fab wedding

It’s Friday, it’s Fab and I’m in Sydney!

But yes, it’s still Friday, it’s still Fab. So why don’t you check out what my fellow DT’ers have to show off at Tiddly Inks today? Take a look!

I’ve decided to use Wedding Bells again, this time making a green card. Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, dies by Noor Design, Memory Box (I think, hard to check when not at home) and Martha Stewart puncher. The lace is my favourite and from Live and Love Crafts. It’s been coloured in with copics and I used glitter glue for her veil.

Yup! I made it! I am now officially a Tiddly Inker! I am so happy to be a part of their team until the end of the year and I cannot wait to make more with their images. They are just too cute! Here is my first post as a member of the Tiddly Inks Design Team.

It is Fabby Friday over at the challenge blog. That means we are showcasing some of the adorable Tiddly Inks images! There is also a challenge currently themed School Rules. Check it out! Anyway, I’ve decided to use Wedding Bells for my card this Friday.

It is coloured in with copics. I used papers from Pion, lace and berry looking flowers from Live and Love Crafts, Noor Design butterfly dies and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Dandelion Dream – CCK guest designer

I was so very lucky and was chosen as the winner of the guest designer spot after the May challenge at Ching-Chou Kuik’s challenge blog! So here is my card for the July Challenge of Sparkles and Shine! I am not very good at using glitter and such, so it was quite the challenge! Thank you for having me!

Guest Designer

The image I chose is Dandelion Dream, by Ching-Chou Kuik, obviously. I absolutely love these images and it was hard to choose something that I thought might be good with the theme. Everything is coloured with copics. I’ve added lots of pink and yellow dots with liquid pearls for extra shine (which is hard to capture in a photo) and used silver rhinestones as the centre of the dandelions.

All the flowers are by Wild Orchid Craft, apart from the purple berry looking thing which is by Live and Love Crafts. I’ve used a ton of glitter glue and papers from First Edition Papers, Lili of the Valley and Papirdesign. The sentiment is by Pink Pettycoat and the butterflies from a Martha Stewart puncher. Lastly, the shiny pink circles are candi from Craftwork Cards.

I am terrible at trying to take photos of something shiny or sparkly, therefore I have taken quite a few, with different light sources, and instead of just picking one I’ve decided to share four of the photos. I think it’s a good example to show how different light sources can make the photo look different as well.

This first one shows the colours best, but a bit heavy in contrast. Daylight and flash.

The second photo shows the sparkles a bit better, but the colours are also duller. I used the camera on my phone for this.

card353_4

This photo is truer to the colour of the card, but it doesn’t show the sparkles and shine as good as the other photos. Lightbulbs and flash.

And lastly, here is a darker photo to show off the sparkles even better! Daylight, no flash.
