Colouring Video – Magnolia Blossoms

I have another pencil colouring video for you today. This time I’ve used a stamp by My Favorite Things called Magnolia Blossoms. The image has been stamped twice at slightly different angles using GinaK Designs’ Amalgam Ink and it has been coloured up using Prismacolor Premier Pencils.

There’s no audio this time either and the video itself has been sped up so that it is twice as fast as the real time colouring. Then you have an idea of how long it took to colour it. It takes longer to make the actual video than it takes to colour up the image, that’s for sure!

If you’d rather watch the video directly on YouTube, please click here.

Pencils used: (brown) 947, 945, 943, 997, (green) 109, 1097, 1005, 989, (pink) 994, 929, 928, 1014, 938

Birthday celebration

Time for a fun birthday card using a stamp by Stamping Bella. I opted for a layered card this time using Maja Design papers, my favourite lace, a bit of matching ribbon and some chipboard numbers. The edges have been painted white with acrylic paint.

Snowdrops

Well, the past week flew by quickly! With everything happening at the moment I know quite a few have more time at home regardless of whether they like it or not. I am currently not amongst those, but who knows when that might change. Anyway, because of this I will try to make a couple of colouring videos over the next week to help the colourists out there make time pass a bit quicker and who knows, maybe there are others who might like to try colouring, too.

But for now I will settle with showing you my most recent card. I used a Stamping Bella stamp, and the numbers are made with a MFT Stamps die. The papers are primarily Reprint and Maja Design.

This card has multiple folds, and to see that it needs to be untied.

It has a few folds inside for various content. I’ve made a gift card pocket and written the text from a birthday song on two of the pages inside

And this is how it looks if you look down at it from above.

The blue copics are from the B20s series. The greens are also 20s and the greys are Ns.

Best friends

Yet another clean and simple card today. I’ve coloured up a lot of Stamping Bella lately because of the next two colouring classes I’m planning to have at Hobbykunst in Oslo in March, so I used an entirely different stamp for this card. It’s another one of the images I coloured up in the previous 30 day colouring challenge and my pile of coloured images is now ready for another 30-day refill! The fade-out ink from Inkon3 is great, by the way! Opted for softer colours on the dress.

I’ve used Maja Design paper, an MFT Stamps rectangle die, Make it Crafty chipboard and Altenew enamel dots.

23. CAS card with Magnolia

It has happened. Not only did I colour up a Magnolia image this month, but I did it twice! As some of you know, I haven’t exactly been eager to colour up any of these, but now that I have I realise it didn’t end up as the complete disaster I had imagined! That is good, right?!

I decided to keep this card very simple. I used some gorgeous Maja Design papers and some glitter paper from Søstrene Grene. Last week my order of chipboard from Make it Crafty finally arrived so I was able to put them on a card for this Christmas. I coloured the word christmas up with the same greens that I used on the girl’s jacket and I think the text looks fantastic! I’m so glad I bought some!

As usual the image was coloured up with Copics and you can find the list of colours below. I cut the image out by freehand and then I drew on the ground around her feet straight onto the card blank as I really quite like how that looks!

Here is a close-up of the girl.

Copics used: E000, E00, E04, E21, R20, (hair) E25, E27, E29, E34, E41, (reds) R22, R24, R27, R59, (greens) YG61, YG63, YG67, G99, (grey) W1, W2, W3, (shoes) E71, E74, E77, E79, (ground effect) W0, W1, W2, W3, W5, W7
