Pencil flowers on kraft

Here is the very first colouring I did using pencils. It made its way onto a card thanks to Elin who suggested this layout, inspired by a card made by Colorfulcluttereddesk on IG two years earlier, and mostly remote-controlled the making of this card. That is a very fun way to make a card, by the way, and I suggest you give it a try!

It was during one of the 30 day colouring challenges that I decided it was finally time to dig out my Prismacolor pencils and give them a try. I didn’t even have a pencil sharpener… but thankfully my other half hurried to the shop once I was done with the big flower as it was no way I was going to finish the rest of the card without sharpening a single pencil!

The gorgeous flower is a stamp by Power Poppy. The polaroid die is by MFT Stamps, the big letters are chipboard by Make it Crafty and the sentiment strip is made using Mathia Design stamps. The text means “hi, we’ll miss you”.

If anybody has a particular interest in knowing which pencils I’ve used, then I have written that down somewhere, so just pop me a message.

Sommer vibes

This month’s challenge over at Copic Marker Norge doesn’t last for just this month, but throughout summer. Our theme had to be something summery for it, didn’t it? And it is, summer vibes.

I decided to colour up a stamp by The Paper Shelter as they have a great selection of summery ones. I was a little unsure of how I wanted to colour up the background and contemplated both a park look as well as a cityscape, but on the day I coloured it up we had a bright blue cloudless sky all day, so that’s what I went for in the end.

To make the card I used MFT Stamps rectangle dies to cut the panel and put it on top of some Maja Design paper. A couple of butterflies made with Rayher dies in a matching colour, some enamel dots to match the handbag and an embossed sentiment by Mathia Design (Hobbykunst) were all the things I needed to complete my card.

Copics used: (sky) B0000, B00, B01, B02, B04, (grass) G21, G24, G28, (yellow) YR20, YR21, YR23, E35, (red) R22, R24, R29, R89, (skin) E00, E02, E13, E15, (hair) E08, E18, E49, E97

We’re going to miss you

I’m still trying to get through all the images I coloured up for the two daily colouring challenges that ran nearly back to back this spring. The one I’ve used for today’s card is the first one I coloured up for those, back on 1st March. It’s a stamp by Gina K Designs. The stamp is massive, so I had to cut off a little to fit it onto my standard sized cards. I cut it slightly smaller on the edges so I could have a thin red border on each side. The sentiment says “we’re going to miss you” in Norwegian and is by Mathia Design (Hobbykunst). Three enamel dots, in black, and that’s my card done!

Stamping bella donuts (og kurs)

(Kursinfo lenger ned.) What a fun stamp to colour up! This yummy stamp is by Stamping Bella and I love how she is peeking up over the pile of donuts as she’s grabbing the top one! I kept the card simple by putting it off-centre on the purple card stock. I cut out the letters h, e and i using a MFT die (the word hei means hello) and then embossed a Mathia Design stamp onto black card stock to put on top. A few enamel dots and my card was done!

Jeg skal ha kurs i fargelegging av dette motivet Hobbykunst i Oslo 27. juni. For mer informasjon og påmelding klikk her.

Colouring Video: Whimsy Jayden Farm Break

I have a new video for you today. Whimsy Stamps was hosting a virtual retreat on Facebook as their actual retreat had to be cancelled because of the current situation and that’s what this video was made for. There were plenty of games, freebies and videos available. You can see my colouring video below. The stamp is called Jayden Farm Break is now available to purchase at Whimsy Stamps.

In this video I will be colouring up all the elements from the girl to the fields in the background. I had planned to do an audio with it, but it’s been one of those days where nothing goes to plan, so in the end I just gave up! I do plan to have an audio for my next video though! Anyway, here’s the video:
