It doesn’t happen very often, but sometimes I do make cards without a coloured up image. Here I’ve used Maja Design paper together with one of their printed images. I’ve used white acrylic paint around all the edges, by favourite lace and some ribbon together with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. The numbers are from a MFT Stamps die and the sentiment is by Mathia Design.

Whimsy Oak Tree boy
It’s August, can you believe it? Time has flown by so quickly this summer! It also means that Christmas is going to be coming up fast, like it does every year. Therefore I’ve opted to make a Christmas card out of my new release card for Whimsy Stamps. The stamp is from the Wee Stamps collection and is called Oak Tree Boy. It is also available as a rubber stamp. I first cut all the three layers of papers into panel sizes. Then I die cut first the darker blue background using the Wavy Edgers set and then used the same die to cut the coloured panel a bit smaller. I kept the angles slightly differently so there’d be more of the darker paper on one side. To finish it off I used a sentiment from the Merry and Bright set along with some of their enamel dots.
Copics used: (skin) E00, E02, E13, E15, (rusty red) E08, E18, E49, E97, (green) BG90, BG93, BG96, BG99, (blue) B91, B93, B95, B97, B99, (white) N0, N1, N3, (black) N3, N5, N7, N9, (brown) E70, E74, E77, (hair) E23, E27, E29, (yellow) Y32, Y35, Y38, E34,
(red) R24, R29, N7
Whimsy penguin with chocolate
Christmas is less than half a year away, so it’s time to start making those Christmas cards unless you want to make them all at once last minute! I’ve used my Pristmacolor pencils to colour up this adorable penguin by Whimsy Stamps. The Penguin Chocolate surprise stamp is available as both digital and rubber stamp.
I’ve embossed a Norwegian sentiment which means Christmas greetings for the whole family. A couple of transparent dots and a bit of matching paper and that was my card done. I do love the look of pencils on kraft!
LotV – penguin kisses
There is a new release coming at Lili of the Valley later this month and it’s awesome! There are loads of totally awesome penguins and various watercolour elements you can use on your cards. How cool is that? I’ve used used one of the splashes together with the adorable penguin couple.
I printed them together and then coloured the penguins up with my Prismacolor pencils. A little bit of glitter on some chipboard, one of the embossed labels from Lili of the Valley, a few snowflakes and a red card base and I’ve officially started on this year’s Christmas cards!
Let’s have another photo, just because!
Elephant birthday
On Tuesday, a friend and I decided that we were going to attempt the new MFT Stamps sketch challenge, no matter what it was, when the new one was out. That was yesterday. My card came along pretty nicely. I used some stamps I coloured up a while back and kept the same colour scheme for the rest of the card, using blue, turquoise and lime green Distress Oxide inks. I cut out the coloured panels using dies from MFT Stamps and the stamps are also from them as well, the Happy Hippos and Adorable Elephants sets. I finished the card off with a Norwegian sentiment, which means happy birthday, by Mathia Design (Hobbykunst) and a few enamel dots from Altenew.
This card has been entered into the following challenge:
