Woodland princess

It has been quite a while, hasn’t it? In fact, the last card I put up was before summer hit. I knew it was going to be a busy summer, but I wasn’t quite prepared for what was to follow. I have been working a lot, and I have also been on a few trips as well as planning my next holiday. In two weeks time I’m heading off to Thailand for a friend’s wedding. I am so looking forward to that and we have a ton of stuff planned! I reckon I’ll need a holiday as soon as I get back home.. hehe.

We have been very fortunate this year. Not only have we had a beautiful and hot summer, but the autumn has been absolutely fantastic. At the time of writing this I almost feel guilty for not being outside in the brilliant sunshine enjoying the beauty autumn has to offer. It is so amazingly colourful, more than we usually get. I have posted a few photos of it on my instagram account. If you’d like to take a look, my username there is livefall.

Anyway, back to business! This is a card I did in fact make before summer. It is a confirmation card, as some of the others I posted before my unplanned break. I coloured in a Saturated Canary image, using Copic Markers, this time in greens. (The previous one I did was in yellow, and other I did which I have yet to post is in purple.) I used a Martha Stewart edge puncher to create a border and I used it to make a border around the main image as well. The brown leaves are also made with a Martha Stewart puncher. The papers are probably Inkido, although I could be wrong as it’s quite a while ago. The lovely ribbon is from The Hobby House. As always, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the little corner buttons are called card candy and can be found at Craftwork Cards.

Gone fishing

I have been on holiday for over a week and got home yesterday. Tomorrow I leave for another couple of days. Once June hits things will get a little more back to normal, I hope. At least I should have more time for the blog than I have had the past couple of weeks! Summer is finally coming. I hope you all have a sunny day!

A boy card! It has been a while since I posted up any of those. This one I made for my uncle’s 70th birthday. The pre-coloured image is by Lili of the Valley. I remember the green paper being from First Edition Paper, but I cannot recall where the other is from. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the small buttons are card candi by Craftwork Cards. The branches are made using a Martha Stewart puncher.

Blue. I love blue! It is definitely time for a blue card! It’s been too long since I posted one now; I will make it up by posting several the next two weeks!

I have used paper from Bildmålarna and a pre-coloured topper from The Hobby House using a darling Sylvia Zet image. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the branches are made with a Martha Stewart puncher. The little pearls are also purchased at The Hobby House, whereas the sentiment stamp is from Lili of the Valley.

Picnic time

Bah, holiday over already. I had my flight home yesterday with my suitcase and hand luggage filled with so much crafting stuff I barely had room to bring other things I bought home, never mind the stuff I was supposed to take back, like the camera. Oh well, there is always next time haha. I’ve not even had time to unpack yet as I went straight to work from the airport and today is another long day where I won’t be home until late evening. Hopefully I can get started on some card making with my new stuff tomorrow!

Below is a card I’ve made with papers from various First Edition Paper pads. The circular die is made with spellbinders. I don’t remember what my reasonably new corner die is called so I will update the post with the name of it later. The corner dies are from Die-Namics of course, from My Favourite Things. The pre-coloured image is by Lili of the Valley and all the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. As usual the leaves are made with a Martha Stewart puncher. The ribbons were in my stash, I believe the transparent yellow one once came with a bunch of flowers, heh. The brad I used on the bow is one I’ve had in my stash for a while, but I reckon it is a Papermania one.

Having a rest

It has been over a month since I last posted a masculine card, so here is one! I made this one a couple of weeks ago for my uncle’s 70th birthday. The image I used is a pre-coloured one from Lili of the Valley, and the flowers are as usual from Wild Orchid Crafts. I have used Spellbinders for the circles, both scalloped and not, and the leaves are made with a Martha Stewart puncher.
