RAM flower love birds

It’s time for another DT project using the lovely digital images by Rachelle Anne Miller. For today’s project, Rachelle herself got to pick what stamp I was to use. The stamp she picked is called Flower Love Birds. It isn’t really the type I would have chosen myself, but I love a good challenge so I’ve made two cards with it. To keep the cards similar I’ve used the same markers and kept both cards simple.

For the first one I’ve used the stamp as is.

For card number two I’ve rearranged the flowers and used a few of them more than one.

Here both cards are together.

Crafty Meraki new beginning

December already and although I have a lot of winter and Christmas themed cards to show you this month, I am starting off with a floral card! Today’s project is a card made using the Little Things floral stamp from Crafty Meraki’s own collection. I started out by making a line in the middle with a black marker and masked off one half of the card, then I stamped the flower stamp before masking the other side, rotating the stamp set and stamping again. That way I used the same part of the stamp twice.

Once I had coloured it up I used part of a sentiment stamp from the Colorado Craft Company collaboration set, before using the rest of the same sentiment next to it instead of having it under as it was designed. I glued it onto lilac MFT card stock and used matching enamel dots from Altenew.

And here is a close-up photo for you.

Copics used: BV000, BV02, V000, V12, V15, V17, V09, Y13, Y17, Y19, YR27, YG61, YG63, YG67, RV02

Crafty Meraki Little things

Through the whole month Crafty Meraki has been launching their very first release. It contains both clear stamps and slimline dies. One of the products I’ve gotten to play with is this pretty floral stamp called Little Things. I’ve used it twice at different angles and used autumn colours for a change.

I opted for a red card base and used a die from Altenew for the text combined with an embossed text stamp from MFT Stamps.

Copics used: YR20, YR23, YR27, YR31, E97, E09, E08, E18, E19, G43, G46, YG67, YG91, YG93, YG95, YG97, YG99, R22, R24, R29, R59, R89, BV23, BV25, BV29

Anemones

I’ve used the Paint-a-flower Anemone by ALTENEW. Very curious what the new paint-a-flower will be, but for now I will admire the new release they have out today. (You can view it here.) It is stamped twice onto the card stock, at different angles, and then coloured up with Copic Marker as usual. I’ve used one of the stitched rectangle dies by MFT Stamps, a birthday die by Pinkfresh as well as an embossed sentiment from the Enjoy the Little Things stamp set by Whimsy Stamps. The enamel dots are off this set at Altenew.

The purples are V000, V12, V15, V17 and V09

Statement Flowers slimline

I have made my very first slimline card! You might be getting tired of them by now, but I have coloured up the Statement Flowers by ALTENEW yet again. I can’t help it, I love that stamp! This time I cut out the two flowers after I’d coloured them up. Then I used Pinkfresh slimline die to make a card base onto which I stamped a few of the leaves from the Leaf Clusters stamp set using one of the greens from the Zesty Limes ink cubes set. I used the same green to stamp the “my friend” which is also from the Leaf Clusters stamp set. The beautiful happy birthday die is also from Pinkfresh and I added some enamel dots around the text.

As it is the first time making a slimline card it’s also my first time trying to take a photo of one. It seemed a bit empty without props, so I figured I’d give that a go for a change. I think it worked well enough for a first try!
