Wintery wedding

Just finished packing for another trip. Flying off to Senegal in a couple of hours so squeezing in a quick update before I go!

A friend of mine asked me to make a wedding card. The wedding was yesterday, so I can now put it up here! As it is a winter wedding, I had to use snowflakes and a wintery green, while still making it look like a wedding card.

The topper and green pearls are from The Hobby House, the flowers, white pearls, thin ribbon and bow are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The thicker ribbon on the box is from The Ribbon Girl. The big snowflakes are made with a Martha Stewart puncher.

All the best to Paul and Lisa! 🙂

I’ve entered it into the Hobby House’s Special Christmas Event

Picking up the post

My first inspirational post as a design team member for the Hobby House! How exciting! This month the challenge is pretty much ‘whatever’ as long as a Hobby House pre-coloured topper has been used. It doesn’t even have to be a new creation! My creation, however, is new! And I’m quite happy with how it turned out 🙂 . You can find the challenge here.

The paper is from a Papermania pad, the doily from Dovecraft, the three different punches are all Martha Stewart, the sentiment stamp is from Lili of the Valley and the rosebuds are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I have used a few Hobby House products for this: the open roses in pink and beige, the adorable pre-coloured topper and the pearls.

Christmas in the forest

Just a few more days left of work until Christmas is upon us. I really must get the last few Christmas presents sorted this week. but  I have a feeling I won’t get it done until the very last minute again: on Monday.

Todays card I believe is made with paper from Pion. I’m not entirely certain who made the image I’ve used, but I did purchase it at Bikuben. The ribbon is from the Ribbon Girl and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I have used pearls from The Hobby House and made branches with a Martha Stewart puncher.

Christmas is coming, fast!

A week into December already! I have spent my spare time crafting rather than blogging so far as there hasn’t been a whole lot of it. The Christmas cards are finally well under way! I have been making mostly traditional looking ones, but I have made the odd one using what I find to be somewhat unusual colours or colour combinations for Christmas cards. I thought I’d start with showing off one of those. To get them all shown before Christmas I will try to post one a day.

The card topper is by The Hobby House, and I’ve added some snow using dewdrops. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are made with a Martha Stewart puncher. The ribbon and doily are both Papermania.

Newborn

Although we mostly have beautiful sunny day with colourful leaves everywhere, it is getting colder and the other day we had the first few flurries. It makes me look forward to my holiday even more. Sunshine, sand and sea. Yes, I am definitely ready for a couple of weeks of summer! From mid-November I will certainly get back into crafting a bit more though, because I potentially start off the new year with another exciting trip abroad. Some people say turning 30 is horrible, but I think this is turning into my best year yet. I’m loving it.

The card I’m sharing today is made with Pion Design paper. It is the same sheet that I have used both the front and back of. I had a request for a baby card, but it was to not use the traditional colours, so I chose green. I framed it with a soft green and used cream coloured ribbon, bows and pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts. The pre-coloured image is from The Hobby House. It is a Mo Manning image this one. They are so easy to use and great if you haven’t got a lot of time to sit and colour stuff in yourself. The flowers used are all from Wild Orchid Crafts as well, and the ribbon with hearts on is purchased at Bikuben.
