Crafty Meraki night time Season’s Greetings

It is Tuesday, which means Christmas is only a couple of days away. Here in Norway we celebrate on the 24th. So yeah, Christmas is nearly upon us and I don’t think I’ve been less prepared than I am this year. Thankfully I had most of my Christmas cards made early, but a few last minute ones are made this year as well. Fully coloured panels seems to be how my last minute cards end up this year, because quick and easy doesn’t seem to happen when I have no time at all! Hahaha. The stamp set I have used here, by My Favorite Things, is a part of the Stacey Yacula collection and is called Christmas Cheer. I have masked the stamps together, but if you prefer die cuts, you can find the matching set here. As we are just past the darkest day of the year here, I decided on a night sky.

The panel is die cut using MFT’s Stitched Rectangle stax dies. There are other fun options as well, such as the Whimsical one. The text stamp is from the Flurry of Love stamp set and I used cardstock for that and the enamel dots to match the colour of the bunny’s fur.

Copics used: BV13, BV17, BV25, BV29, B0000, BV000, BV20, BV23, R22, R24, R29, E18, BG93, BG96, BG99, E97, E08, E19, E18, W1, W3, W5, T0, T1, T3, YR21, YR24, YR27, R30

Polkadoodles delivery time

I have another card with a drawn in background. This time I opted for a different kind of trees, but kept it pretty simple. A little at a time, right? 🙂 This was used with an adorable stamp by Polkadoodles called Delivery Time. I am quite enjoying making little winter scenes at the moment and this was no exception. There will be a video coming soon showing how I coloured this one up, so check back next week!

Lotv James in the forest snow

This is my second attempt at colouring in my own background. I stuck with various purples for my little forest scene. The adorable bear is by Lili of the Valley and I’m sure you’ve seen me use this stamps a few times in the past! It gets a bit of a different look with a drawn in background, though. I also added some snow to the ground as well as some falling snow. The brighter blue scarf and hat stands out nicely against the background.

The card itself is quite simple. I didn’t feel like it needed a lot added to it, so I simply used a stitched border die for the panel, a Norwegian Christmas sentiment in a dark purple and some semi-transparent sequins around it.

Crafty Meraki Poinsettia

Wasn’t it just Tuesday? Well, it is Tuesday again and it’s time for another Crafty Meraki project. The days just seem to fly past at the moment! Today I have a simple Christmas card to share with you. Lately I’ve coloured up quite a lot of the card panel, so this time I’ve focused on just a part of it and leaving plenty of white space. I’ve used the poinsettia stamp from the Christmas Miracle stamp set twice and masked them together as well as masking them into a section of the card. The flowers were coloured in with Copic marker and I also coloured in a grey background behind them.

The sentiment is from MFT Stamp Christmas Cheer stamp set and I’ve placed three semi-transparent sequins around it. They are a bit hard to spot in photos, though. To frame it all I used red cardstock as the card base, the cardstock is also from MFT Stamps.

Copics used: T3, R22, R24, R29, E18, Y32, Y35, Y38, YR27 + white gelly roll pen.

Have a great week!

Lotv Let it snow

James Bear in the snow, of Lili of the Valley, is one of my all time favourite stamps and I colour it up several times each Christmas. This time I have made a CAS card with him on the side with white on white covering the rest of the panel. The die cut is by Mama Elephant and I’ve added semi-transparent sequins and white glittery embossing powder randomly over the whole panel covering everything. Bright red card stock frames the panel and matches his outfit.
