I have another card made using pencils on kraft today. This time the image is by Lee Holland and I’ve used Prismacolor Premier again to colour it up. I wanted the card reasonably simple, but with a fair bit of white, so I cut the panel down to pretty much a square and found some twine. Thankfully I had some that matched very well and I tied on a charm by Tim Holtz that I’ve had forever. A Mathia Design sentiment embossed onto black card stock and three enamel dots from Altenew finished off my card.

Whimsy penguin with reindeer
My Prismacolor pencils came out to play for this Whimsy penguin as well. I seem to have a thing for Whimsy penguins in pencils for Christmas cards this year! I cut a rectangular panel slightly narrower than the card base and used a piece of semi-matching paper as a stripe on the side. I used one of the labels from the Quick Strips die set (which is great, by the way!) along with the Bold ABC die set.
kraft Birthday dragon
When I saw the new sketch challenge over at MFT Stamps, I quickly knew that I had to make card using this little dragon. I coloured up the dragon last month using my Prismacolor pencils and I thought it would look cool having the kraft elements of the sketch on a white background. The sentiment is Norwegian and means “congratulations“. I figured bright pink would make it stand out well.
This card has been entered into the following challenge:
MFT Stamps – Sketch #503
Dragon and snowdrop
I have coloured up a few of Lee Holland‘s adorable images this year, but I think this might be the first time one of them has made its way onto a card. It would work as both a birthday card and a Christmas card (well, and encouragement and friendship cards), but in the end I opted to make a birthday card out of it by using a Papirdesign sentiment. I kept the whole thing quite simple. The stamp was coloured up using Prismacolor pencils.
Whimsy penguin with chocolate
Christmas is less than half a year away, so it’s time to start making those Christmas cards unless you want to make them all at once last minute! I’ve used my Pristmacolor pencils to colour up this adorable penguin by Whimsy Stamps. The Penguin Chocolate surprise stamp is available as both digital and rubber stamp.
I’ve embossed a Norwegian sentiment which means Christmas greetings for the whole family. A couple of transparent dots and a bit of matching paper and that was my card done. I do love the look of pencils on kraft!
