A little bit random

Today I am showing you the second card I made on (Inter)National Scrapbooking Day in an event hosted for Scandinavian scrapbookers. The challenge here was a photo of a layout by Skrapowisko. (If you like doing layouts, you need to see hers. They are superb!) I cannot seem to relocate this particular one on her website to show you, but I was inspired by her background and all the speech bubbles and text around the centre image. Also mostly pale colours.

I’ve used my Copic Markers to create the background, as well as to colour in the Ching-Chou Kuik image. You will find a list of all the colours at the bottom of the post as usual. All of the die cuts are from La-La Land Crafts. I’ve used sentiment stamps from MFT Stamps and Papirdesign.

Copics used: (background from top) BG72, V91, YG00, BV20, YR00, B000, RV00, G00, Y00, BV000, R00

Uptown girls with sparkly dresses

Yesterday was (Inter)National Scrapbooking Day. The Paper Crafting hosted an event for Scandinavian scrapbookers where they had three challenges. As I spent most of the day outside in the sunshine, I didn’t really have time to take part until 8pm, but I hurried and managed to make two cards before midnight. Phew!

It was a lot of fun. Both cards are quite different to what I’ve done before. The first one I will show today, and the other will be available on my blog soon as well. Here the challenge was to use four colours from light turquoise to a darker green, as well as a yellow. (Optionally you could be inspired by the photo, but I chose the colours).

I decided to use my Tim Holtz stencil and coloured it in with my Y13 Copic Marker. Then I got out a couple of Papirdesign stamps and stamped with two different Distress Oxide Inks onto the background before I used some Washi tape for the dark stripes. After wondering what on earth to use with what I’d just made, I finally remembered my new Stamping Bella stamp which I had yet to use. Perfect, I thought! I coloured it in with my Copics and made their dresses (and drinks) sparkly! The bottom sentiment belongs to that stamp. Lastly I printed out some text and coloured in a Make It Crafty “girl” chipboard in matching colours.

Copics used: (skin) E00, E02, E15, (red haired girl) E08, E18, E19, E97, W5, W9, BG15, BG23, BG57, BG49, Y13, Y19, (black haired girl) BV23, BV25, BV29, W5, W9, Y13, Y19, Y38, BG57, BG75, BG78 YG67, G99, (drinks) RV23, RV55, RV66, (ground) C0, C3, C5 + white gel pen

Teddy bear birthday party

Once again I’ve made quite a simple card. I’ve coloured up some party bears from Lili of the Valley, called Happy Bears, and gave them the entire top of the card. The bottom I made with Maja Design paper to which I added a stroke of BG53 and a My Favorite Things sentiment embossed onto red paper, as well as a couple of candi on the bottom corner.

Here you can see the card from the side. The sentiment was added on foam pads.

Copics used: (bears) E41, E42, E43, E44, R20 (turquoise) BG53, BG57, BG49, (red) R22, R39, (white) W3, (floor) W3, W5, W7, (pot) E71, E74, E77, (leaves) YG13, YG67

Card featured in Ett Trykk

Right around new year, when people were busy deciding on what resolutions to make and whether or not to keep them the following day, I decided on a half random impulse to submit two cards for a magazine! Yup, that’s right. It even made it into the magazine! So I have now proudly had one of my cards featured in Ett Trykk. Yey! Although I really don’t like the background they decided to add to it.. but at least here on my blog they will be without that background. Yey!

I’ve used Mo’s Digital Pencil‘s dandelion girl stamp called Make a Wish for this. I absolutely adore her! I think it is one of my favourite Mo stamps! The paper is from Paper Cellar and the sentiment stamp is by Norsk Stempelblad.

I had to submit a couple of extra photos, so why not add them here as well!

Here is a close-up of the coloured image, too.

Copics used: (hair) E70, E71, E74, E77, E79, (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, (green) YG61, YG63, G67, G99, (yellow) Y11, Y13, Y19, Y38, (grey/white) C1, C3, C5, C7

Pink and turquoise

1st of May already! That means it’s my turn to contribute with a bit of inspiration for this month’s Moodboard Challenge over at Copic Marker Norge! I’ve primarily been inspired by the colours here, and of course the flowers. I did contemplate pink hair, but opted for a pink dress instead. I really do love pink and turquoise together. I have no idea why I don’t use it more often on cards to be honest!

For this card I’ve used a stamp from Mo’s Digital Pencil. Isn’t she lovely? I’ve coloured it in with Copics as I always do and you can find the colours at the bottom of the post. I’ve used chipboard for the leaves from Make It Crafty, a background stamp (I’ve got to say it again, I absolutely love how I can now have a gingham pattern in any colour I fancy!) and dies from La-La Land Crafts, charm and twine from Kort og Godt and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. I made the sentiment myself.

As you can see from the photo below, I’ve added the image part onto foam tape and decorated the inside a little bit to match the colours of the front. I also made a matching box for this.

Copics used: (skin) E00, E02, E13, E15, (hair and basket) E50, E51, E53, E55, E57, (pink) RV52, RV55, RV66, R39, (green) YG00, YG13, YG61, YG63, YG67, G99, (white) C1, C3
