Uptown party

This stamp must be one of the stamps I have used the most. It is by Stamping Bella. I’ve used washi tape to make the background behind the girls. It is by Altenew. The stamp is coloured up with Copic Marker and I added the glitter effect to the white dress, but went without the white gelly roll for the red dress for a bit of a different effect. I then cut the panel to the right size and drew in a border around the edge.

The sentiment is in Norwegian and means “to a wonderful friend like you” and is by Mathia Design.

LLLC: Valentines

With carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists, card making is a little bit of a challenge at the moment. The cause of it should make it go away on its own in a month’s time or so, though, and I cannot wait for my hands to work normally again!

I’ve made a CAS card for today’s La-La Land Crafts theme of Valentines. All the products I’ve used is listed below. It was fun to use Washi tape as the only background on a card. The very few rolls I have matches what I’d coloured up perfectly!

Stamps:
Garland Marci
Dream Come True clear stamp

Dies:
Heart Garland
Double Stitched Stars
Stitched Nested Circles
Love Always
Mini Butterflies

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E02, E13, E15, E25, E43, R30, R32, (hair) BV20, BV23, BV25, BV29, (dress) E41, E42, E43, N0, N1, N3, R30, R32, R35

Uptown girls with sparkly dresses

Yesterday was (Inter)National Scrapbooking Day. The Paper Crafting hosted an event for Scandinavian scrapbookers where they had three challenges. As I spent most of the day outside in the sunshine, I didn’t really have time to take part until 8pm, but I hurried and managed to make two cards before midnight. Phew!

It was a lot of fun. Both cards are quite different to what I’ve done before. The first one I will show today, and the other will be available on my blog soon as well. Here the challenge was to use four colours from light turquoise to a darker green, as well as a yellow. (Optionally you could be inspired by the photo, but I chose the colours).

I decided to use my Tim Holtz stencil and coloured it in with my Y13 Copic Marker. Then I got out a couple of Papirdesign stamps and stamped with two different Distress Oxide Inks onto the background before I used some Washi tape for the dark stripes. After wondering what on earth to use with what I’d just made, I finally remembered my new Stamping Bella stamp which I had yet to use. Perfect, I thought! I coloured it in with my Copics and made their dresses (and drinks) sparkly! The bottom sentiment belongs to that stamp. Lastly I printed out some text and coloured in a Make It Crafty “girl” chipboard in matching colours.
