I have another card made using pencils on kraft today. This time the image is by Lee Holland and I’ve used Prismacolor Premier again to colour it up. I wanted the card reasonably simple, but with a fair bit of white, so I cut the panel down to pretty much a square and found some twine. Thankfully I had some that matched very well and I tied on a charm by Tim Holtz that I’ve had forever. A Mathia Design sentiment embossed onto black card stock and three enamel dots from Altenew finished off my card.

kraft Birthday dragon
When I saw the new sketch challenge over at MFT Stamps, I quickly knew that I had to make card using this little dragon. I coloured up the dragon last month using my Prismacolor pencils and I thought it would look cool having the kraft elements of the sketch on a white background. The sentiment is Norwegian and means “congratulations“. I figured bright pink would make it stand out well.
This card has been entered into the following challenge:
MFT Stamps – Sketch #503
For mum
I have a Mother’s Day card to share with you today. I’ve used one of Neat and Tangled‘s awesome stamp sets, some chipboard and enamel dots. I embossed a sentiment onto a piece of black cardstock and opted for a kraft cardstock base for the card.
Bold statement flowers
I absolutely love the Statement Flowers, is by ALTENEW. It’s not that often I take time to colour up in no-lines, but so far I’ve only done just that with this stamp. I use the fade-out ink by InkOn3 because it’s awesome. This time I opted for a lot bolder colours by using red. I’ve hand cut the flower after colouring it up.
The card itself is made by die cutting the Trellis die in white and gluing it back onto white cardstock. The hello die is also by Altenew and so are the green enamel dots which are part of the Green Fields set. Lastly I embossed, in gold, a sentiment from Mathia Design.
Let’s have a proper close-up as well for a change.

A shabby chic card
It doesn’t happen very often, but sometimes I do make cards without a coloured up image. Here I’ve used Maja Design paper together with one of their printed images. I’ve used white acrylic paint around all the edges, by favourite lace and some ribbon together with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. The numbers are from a MFT Stamps die and the sentiment is by Mathia Design.
