PFS Congratulations

I have created a fun mixed media background for my first card for this new Picket Fence Studios (this and all following links are affiliate links) release that is out today. I started by using various colours on the Sweet Candy Hearts background stamp before inking up the Bricks and Mortar 6×8 stencil in a beige colour and then using the Gold coloured Paper Splatter Watercolor. Next I used the Quilting Hearts 6×8 stencil together with two shades of Paper Glaze Luxe, Arctic Fox and Pink Magnolia.

The stamp is Million Little Things which I coloured up with my Copics before die cutting it. The sentiment is from Surprise! It’s Your Day. To finish off I added some sequins from the Vintage Christmas mix.

Here is a close-up of the card:

Picket Fence Studios new release

There is a new Picket Fence Studios (aff.link) release out today and I’ve had the honour of playing with loads of the new product as their Guest Designer this month! Yay! I was a bit unsure of which project to show you first, but in the end I decided on this fun layered card completely without colouring which is very unusual for me.

I’ve used loads of products to create this Christmas card. I started out by using the Snowy Tree Scene A2 blending stencil and two different shades of green before using the Falling Snowflakes stencil to create the rest of the background. I wanted the snowflakes rather blurry and fading into the background, so I wasn’t very careful inking it up. The tree was going to be in the focus.

Next I grabbed the great background stamp, Hark, the Angels Sing stamp, and inked up parts of it to cover the majority of one half of the card. The Joy word die was cut out several times, in white, only to be glued together so the word would stand out. Then I used parts of one of the sentiments on the Angels Sing to Newborn King stamp set for an embossed text on top of the word die before finishing off the card with the lightest colouring in the Sequin mix Vintage Bulbs.

YNS Twinkles star wreath

A few days ago, for the blog hop, I shared a simple card featuring one of the new wreaths at Your Next Stamp from the Holiday Twinkle stamp set. Today I have a card using the other wreath, the star! I’ve made a completely different card using the Paint Swooshes and Splashes stamp set to create a background using two different types of Distress Oxide Inks. The banner and sentiment is also from the wreath stamp set and I coupled it with chipboard from Make It Crafty.

Don’t forget about the blog hop that ends tonight and the discount. You find the details on my blog hop post!

YNS November release preview

I’ve been so fortune that I’ve been asked to take part in the Your Next Stamp November release as a quest designer! The stamps are super cute and I’m up for any excuse to make Christmas cards! For the release preview, I’ve made a card using the Holiday Ponies. There are 4 ponies, some sentiments and some smaller stamps all together. I’ve gone with classic Christmas colours for this.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another card for this super release as a part of the blog hop!

Here is a photo of the stamp set with my coloured up ponies as well.
