Fairy Freya

Another month, another Art by Mi Ran progressive challenge. Pop over to Art by Mi Ran’s Facebook group for details on how to join in the challenge and how to obtain the image. The adorable image will also be available in Art by Mi Ran’s shop in May. Her name is Fairy Freya.

Some of the papers are by Lili of the Valley. They’ve all been painted around the edges. Butterflies are from Noor Design, the flowers and deep red ribbon are by Wild Orchid Crafts and the lace is from Live and Love Crafts. The card base shape is made with dies by Go Kreate.

CMN – Heart

I have some very exciting news.. I made it onto the Copic Marker Norway design team!! Can’t you believe it?! I primarily sent in the application for the DT call hoping that perhaps they would consider me next time around, and I actually made it onto the team! I am so chuffed! I am very much looking forward to working alongside such talented ladies and maybe inspiring people a little on my own along the way.

Today there is a new challenge at CMN – use dies. I went completely overboard on the dies using a ton from Noor Design and the card template die from GoKreate. The image I chose is by Ching-Chou Kuik, called Love, and (obviously) coloured with copics. For once I also cut the image out by hand! I decided to go with pinks for a change, because it was mother’s day here yesterday and it seemed to fit perfectly. The papers are Lili of the Valley and First Edition Paper. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts as is the dark ribbon.

Phoenix

It is Friday and time for another progressive challenge at Art by Mi Ran’s Facebook group. Basically you join the group, follow the guidelines to purchase the image and enter in the challenge, then next month when the new challenge is up you get the image given to you as long as you took part the previous month. Great right?! This month we’re playing with Phoenix. If you’d rather not play along, she’ll be available for purchase next month in Art by Mi Ran’s Etsy shop.

I made my card reasonably simple after I had coloured the image in with copics. I used a few dies from Noor Design and had fun with some black gesso.

Mother’s day

It is mother’s day weekend on Norway this weekend, so what would be more appropriate than the card I made for my mum last year? The obvious choice colour for it was red. I used a Ching-Chou Kuik image and coloured it in with Copics. A lots of Noor Design dies were used as well as a couple of Martha Stewart punchers and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Flowers for tea

Yet another card I made last year using a pre-coloured image. Both of the images used here are from Lili of the Valley. The edges of the image got distressed and frantaged. I had fun making a different card design for this one and added a ribbon so it could be tied together. The colour combination is also one I haven’t used much if I have at all. I think the peach and aqua actually worked, though. For the embellishments I used mostly Noor Design dies with a spellbinder one for the circle and a Martha Stewart puncher. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts as usual.
