My easter buddy

Easter is around the corner. I only just realised this when I opened the fridge yesterday and saw the “easter mystery” cartoon on the milk carton. Don’t ask, lol. Anyway, as I have next to no time before I go away for two weeks tomorrow, I had a spur of inspiration and made a card this morning. Why do I always feel most inspired when I have the least time to craft? Maybe it’s because it looks like I won’t get much else done today as I’m feeling rather unwell. Oh well, the card did get done!

I have used a giant scalopped circle to make the base of the card. I’ve used some plain green card stock and some patterned paper from First Edition paper to go with. I have used a pre coloured Sylvia Zet image from The Hobby House. Isn’t it adorable? The stamped sentiment is from Lili of the Valley, the flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbon is from a local shop and I have used a fair bit of distress ink.

Happy Easter everybody!

The cupcake fairy

Ah, weekend at least! I have got so many projects to get done and the weekend will be perfect, especially as the weather seems to have a fit and has decided that mid-March is the ideal time for more snow…

Todays card is made with papers from Bildmålarna, a pre-coloured image by Mo Manning available at The Hobby House. Pearls and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbon from a local shop, distress ink by Tim Holtz, branches made with a Martha Stewart puncher and the sentiment stamp is by Lili of the Valley.

This card has been entered into the following challenges:

Divas by Design – Put on some pink
Anything Goes – Seeing double
Incy Wincy Designs – Things that begin with F

I am so excited that I have been picked amongst the top 3 at Incy Wincy Designs! Thank you so much for the honour!

Fairy cupcake

Recently I bought some pre-coloured MoManning images from The Hobby House. As my friend loves all things girly and glittery I had to add glitter to the wings and added some darker pink lines with glitter glue. All the various leaves have been made using a Martha Stewart puncher. The papers are primarily from First Edition Paper, the smallest of their pads. I have used flowers all from Wild Orchid Crafts and the bow is also purchased from them.

Mother’s Day in the UK

Mother’s day is coming up in the UK, so I made a card for my other half’s mum. We had our mother’s day here last month. Anyway, this card is for a lady who is quite fond of greens, so that was what I started out with. The pre-coloured image is from Lili of the Valley. The papers are from various pads I have had lying around for quite some time. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are made with a Martha Stewart puncher.

Lovephant

Here is my first project as a member of Paper Playtime‘s design team. For our challenge this week, we have the theme “anything goes”.

I made this card using paper from Pion (the back of a fancy one), a paper pad I’ve had for years and I cannot remember where the one with the hearts are from as I used bits I had left over from last year. The reason that the background looks a bit bright is that the paper is shimmering so got caught in the light, and it is the same paper I have used the back of for the deep red lines and leaves which also look dull. Their colour is more similar to the colour of the bow, that’s how far off it is! Anyway, enough rambling. The elephant is a pre coloured image from Lili of the Valley and the sentiment stamp is also from there. All flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
