Flying magical dragon

I decided a bit last minute to enter in this week’s sketch challenge over at MFT Stamps. I’ve been inspired by Torico for this card. The sky is made with Distress Oxide Inks in the colours Spiced Marmalade, Abandoned Coral and Seedless Preserves. The adorable dragon is from MFT’s Magical Dragons stamp set. It is rather impossible to fussy cut out the swirly part of the tail by hand so I opted to just cut it off entirely. The stamp is fiddly enough as it is to cut out, hahaha.

Copics used: V01, V12, V15, V17, V09, Y32, Y35, Y38, E97

This card has been entered into the following challenge:

MFT Stamps – Sketch challenge no. 508

Polkadoodles Winnie fairytale dreamer

Detailed images can be fiddly to colour up, but they are also fun. There are some quite small details on this image, but it’s also what makes the image stand out. Winnie Fairytale Dreamer is from Polkadoodles and I’ve coloured her up with Copic markers as usual.

Copics used: E00, E02, E13, E15, E08, E18, E19, E49, E97, YG61, G43, G46, BG99, RV63, RV66, RV99, W0, W1, W3, W5

Anemones

I’ve used the Paint-a-flower Anemone by ALTENEW. Very curious what the new paint-a-flower will be, but for now I will admire the new release they have out today. (You can view it here.) It is stamped twice onto the card stock, at different angles, and then coloured up with Copic Marker as usual. I’ve used one of the stitched rectangle dies by MFT Stamps, a birthday die by Pinkfresh as well as an embossed sentiment from the Enjoy the Little Things stamp set by Whimsy Stamps. The enamel dots are off this set at Altenew.

The purples are V000, V12, V15, V17 and V09

Polkadoodles hedgehog

I’m excited to show you my first project as a DT member at Polkadoodles. I have coloured up the Earlie Hedgehog Butterfly stamp with my Copic markers.

The paper is from the paper pack Adalene French Vintage Shabby Chic. I cut out the coloured panel with a circle die. The sentiment is made from different words on the Everlasting Sentiments clear stamp set. It is really quite a clever stamp set and you can combine words in loads of different ways. I like it!

Copics used: E21, E23, E25, E27, E29, V91, V93, V95, V12, V15, V17, V09, R91, R95, G21, G24, G28, N1, N3

Your own kind of beautiful

I have another card for you using Paint-a-Flower Poppy by Altenew. I have, yet again, coloured it up with my RV90-series Copic markers. I’ve already done this twice; one as a no-lines version here and another with repeated stamping here.

Like the previous version of this card (see here) I have cut the flower out by hand. For the background I’ve used the Feathery Stencil and Distress Oxide Ink in the colour Milled Lavender. The sentiment is part of the Paint-a-Flower Paeonia Japonica and I stamped it using the Sugarplums mini cubes set. To finish it off I drew in some dots with the same Copic marker as I used on the darkest part of the flower and put some enamel dots around the text.
