Yesterday was (Inter)National Scrapbooking Day. The Paper Crafting hosted an event for Scandinavian scrapbookers where they had three challenges. As I spent most of the day outside in the sunshine, I didn’t really have time to take part until 8pm, but I hurried and managed to make two cards before midnight. Phew!
It was a lot of fun. Both cards are quite different to what I’ve done before. The first one I will show today, and the other will be available on my blog soon as well. Here the challenge was to use four colours from light turquoise to a darker green, as well as a yellow. (Optionally you could be inspired by the photo, but I chose the colours).
I decided to use my Tim Holtz stencil and coloured it in with my Y13 Copic Marker. Then I got out a couple of Papirdesign stamps and stamped with two different Distress Oxide Inks onto the background before I used some Washi tape for the dark stripes. After wondering what on earth to use with what I’d just made, I finally remembered my new Stamping Bella stamp which I had yet to use. Perfect, I thought! I coloured it in with my Copics and made their dresses (and drinks) sparkly! The bottom sentiment belongs to that stamp. Lastly I printed out some text and coloured in a Make It Crafty “girl” chipboard in matching colours.
