Enjoy the summer

If you have noticed that I am late with this month’s card for the Copic Marker Norge challenge then you’re absolutely right! One of the super ladies on the team offered to swap teams with me this month when I was running short on time in the middle of June. Thanks!

I’ve used a Make it Crafty image for this enjoy the summer challenge theme we’re running. For a change I’ve not used the full image, but cropped it closer. Isn’t she adorable? It’s been coloured in with copics, of course, and you can see the list of colours below.

Other supplies used here are from Live and Love Crafts (now closed down), Wild Orchid Crafts, Martha Stewart punchers, some cheese cloth and pearls. The paper, if I remember correctly, is by First Edition Paper.

Copics used: (hair) E08, E18, E19, E49, E97, (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, (dress) YG03, G82, G94, G99, W1, W3, W5, (flowers) Y04, Y08, YR04, and a white gel pen

Grow a little love

Right, so there is no secret I love Tiddly Inks images, especially all things Wryn! I was on their design team a while back and as they’re having another DT now that I have more time to make cards again I thought I would submit an application. It is a great team to be on, so perhaps you should try your luck also? You can find the DT call here. This is my card for said application. It’s a Wryn, of course! And coloured with Copic makers!

Actually, this is not my favourite. My favourite is the one with the cupcake, eat more cake, but as I used that one for the previous time I applied for a DT, I thought I should pick another one this time. Although I adore all of the winter ones, I decided to go with grow a little love, which I have also coloured up loads of times. I honestly have way too many favourites, I admit it.

I’ve used various stash from Wild Orchid Crafts, Live and Love Crafts (reopen, please!), Martha Stewart punchers, distress ink, pearls and lace and doily from various places.

Here is the card from another angle.

Oh and the text? That is Norwegian for good luck!

Wedding Season

Don’t you juse love weddings?! So far this year I’ve been had to make a handful of wedding cards and I love doing each one. This particular card as made with the request of matching a baby card as they were celebrating both events at the same. On the right side here you can see the baby card I made and if you click on it you will be taken to the post I wrote about that card.

This one is made with my favourite wedding image, from Tiddly Inks and as usual I’ve removed the names that were added at the bottom. It’s been coloured with Copic Markers and I’ve used various embellishments from Wild Orchid Crafts, Live and Love Crafts, Martha Stewart, as well as some acrylic paint and cheese cloth.

Here is another photo from another angle:

Copics used: W1, W2, W3, W5, W7, 100, E000, E00, E04, E11, E42, E43, E44, E47, E49, E53, E55, E57, E59

Mermaid; photo inspiration challenge

It’s the middle of May already! How did that happen?! hmm.. Oh well, it does mean it’s time for another challenge at Copic Marker Norge, and this time we have a photo inspiration challenge.

This is the card I made. I decided on a mermaid to represent the ocean and then I tried to mostly stick to the colours used on the inspirational photo. The image I used is by Ching-Chou Kuik and one of the very first mermaids I’ve ever coloured! Various other bits are by Papermania, Wild Orchid Crafts and Martha Stewart. The image is obviously coloured with Copics.

Here is another view of the card:

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E04, E11, R20, R22, (blue-green) BG05, B000, BG70, BG72, BG75, BG78, G29, (pink) R39, R81, R83, R85, R89, (leaves) YG01, YG67, YG99, (background) R81, RV000, B000, B81

Monochromatic

It is right in the middle of Easter and it is time for a new challenge over at Copic Marker Norge. This time around the theme may be a bit more challenging, it is monochromatic. I think it was fun, though, although I cannot recall if I have ever tried to colour in black and white before.. maybe once? hmm. The only problem I’ve had is when I’ve coloured it in, it’s hard to take a photo that will show all the nuances in the colouring, but hey can’t win them all..

The image I’ve used for this is by Make It Crafty. I’ve cropped the girl so it’s possible to see the details when coloured with only a few markers. I’ve used Copics, as always. The paper is from Papermania, sentiment from Lili of the Valley, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and the punchers are Martha Stewart ones.

And a side on view.

Copics used: W0, W1, W2, W3, W5, W7, 100
