Vase full of flowers

I was bitten by the crafting bug this weekend and got six or seven cards made. I’m starting to get a nice pile of them now for when I have less time to make any.

On this card I have used various bits of background paper I have had for ages, a Lili of the Valley stamp I coloured in with Copics, lots of pearls, leaves made with a Martha Stewart puncher, ribbon from a local shop (I’m pleased how the bow turned out) and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.

This card has been entered into the following challenges:

Lili’s Little Fairies – Pearls
Sketchy Colors – Green, Lilac and white
Allsorts – Things with wings
No matter which challenge – Ribbons and bows

Thank you so much to Sketchy Colours for having my card as a winner of this challenge. I love my new stamps and paper!

Innocence

This is another card made on request. As usual I don’t remember where the background papers are from. This time it’s actually bugging me as I wouldn’t mind another sheet or two of it. Oh well! The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the branches are made with a Martha Stewart puncher. I have used a die cut pre-coloured images from Lili of the Valley, some pearls, a 3D butterfly and some plain card stock (purple and green) as well.

Garden fairy

A beautiful summer day today. Work, followed by exercise on the mountain bike and then a spot of card making in the evening. Sadly this was my only day of doing that this summer as I only have late shifts until my holiday in August. Anyway, let’s have a summer card post. It will be short as I am tired enough I might even be sleep typing this!

Spring time

Both I and all my new stash safely made it back from England. After unpacking everything and carefully organising it all last night, this morning was spent making a new card. Mother’s Day is coming up on Sunday here, and with limited time available this week, I had to get the card done today. Before starting, I decided to have a quick look at the latest challenge over at Lili’s Little Fairies, fully expecting to miss out on the challenge entirely as it ends tonight or tomorrow. To my surprise the challenge theme this week is Spring Colours, which would fit my mom perfectly! With that extra motivation, the card didn’t take very long to make at all.

Summery birthday

As much as I enjoy making Christmas cards, it was a nice break making some birthday cards in the days running up to Christmas. As the two birthday celebrants don’t know each other, I decided to go with my idea of making paired cards for this also! It really is a lot quicker to just make two similar cards than two completely different ones!
