Lotv bears building snowman

Lili of the Valley is working on yet another new Christmas release and it’s a great one! I simply had to colour up one of the stamps right away, with these bears building a snowman! Even though there is loads of white, I opted for a no-lines version of the stamp. Blue is my favourite colour for Christmas cards, so I suppose it was a bit of an obvious choice, but hey! When it looks great, why pick something else, right? hehehe

The decorations are kept simple with just a cluster of die cut scrap paper, some die cut snowflakes, one of Lili of the Valley’s own sentiments as well as some enamel dots.

And this marks the end of August. I am pleased I managed to do a card a day. There’ll be quite a few cards the next few months too, I am sure. Tomorrow is September, and I don’t think I am quite ready for autumn yet.

Whimsy Sugar cupcakes

A fun girly card today using Sugar from the Pollycraft collection at Whimsy Stamps. The cluster is made by using various die cuts on bits of scrap paper. The Quick Strips die set is great for this! The sentiment is from Enjoy the Little Things which is one of their clear stamp sets. I really quite like that stamp set as it has loads of lovely little sentiments.

Party turtle

I bought this Neat & Tangled stamp set quite a while ago, but I never really got around to using it. For one of the colouring challenges earlier this year, I finally got around to colouring up one of the stamps; this awesome party snail. I opted for no-lines for a change and love how it turned out. As he’s quite small, I made a bigger cluster of scrap papers in the corner to go with. It’s mostly scraps from Maja Design and then some random card stock. The sentiment stamp means “congratulations” and is by Mathia Design.

RAM Christmas Tree

I have another card to share where I’ve coloured up one of the adorable stamps by Rachelle Anne Miller. As it’s August already, it might be time to start slowly with the Christmas cards. It would save you having to do loads in November and December! That’s my goal at least, to have quite a few done before then, and I think I’m on track for it. This stamp is called Christmas Tree.

As for the rest of the card, I coloured up a matching background, and then die cut the coloured panel. I used various paper scraps and dies to make a cluster and then used a Norwegian text stamp for the Christmas sentiment.

Whimsy Fox Mom

There is a new  Whimsy Stamps release out today. Can you believe it’s July already?! I decided to dig out my pencils for this one and I also mirrored the stamp so the fox is facing right instead of left. This is my first attempt at fur using pencils, so although I’m not entirely happy with it I also know I should have semi-reasonable expectations, hahaha. I think it turned out alright, to be honest! The stamp is called Fox Mom.

I kept the card mostly simple, but added a cluster of die cuts from various paper scraps I had laying about. A few enamel dots and a sentiment also from Whimsy Stamps which I coloured digitally to match the scraps of paper.
