LotV a time for giving

Christmas is coming up fast. It feels particularly fast when you have so much to do you’ve barely even got time to think about Christmas… Less than a month left now and I have a fair few colourings I still want to make cards of before then.

Here I’ve coloured up one of the Lili of the Valley stamps that was released earlier this year. I think it is one of my favourites from this year!

The card itself is simple with a small cluster of die cut paper scraps, a doily, some enamel dots and a sentiment. The papers are mostly by Maja Design and the sentiment stamp is by Mama Elephant.

Crafty Meraki shaker card

It’s Tuesday and time for another Crafty Meraki project. I’ve made another shaker card this week and this time I’ve used the full bigger frame from Frame Worthy slimline dies set. The stamps I decided to use this time is from the Flurry of Love set by My Favorite Things, and I made it with a subtle purple as the main colour. I’ve used nearly all the stamps from said set and masked them together. Then I used the frame to make the shaker area filling it with various sequins in matching colours before adding two sentiments on top.

Here is another photo where the shaker elements aren’t covering the whole image

Whimsy would follow you anywhere

I looked at my phone this morning and it said “October”. I’m not sure I’m ready for that. Don’t get me wrong, I love the beautifully coloured trees, the fresh wind and the non-guilty hot-chocolate moments with a blanket because it’s not too warm for it anymore, but still. Winter is just a tad bit too close. That also means Christmas is coming closer. Are you ready? Have you started on your cards? Mine are actually mostly done! And I have another one to show you today.

A new month also means a new Whimsy Stamps release! I’ve played with one of the new digital stamps. It has a penguin AND a polar bear. Doesn’t get much better than that, right? You can find it here. I didn’t use any dies this time as I cut the coloured panel and then I just tore across the top so I could have some background paper peeking through, but if you prefer dies then the Slimline card builder die so work well for this.

RAM boy with dragon

I’m back with another card made for Rachelle Anne Miller’s Creative Studios today. For some reason I seem to enjoy colouring up these detailed stamps as small as possible and this card is no exception. I used boy and stuffed dragon for this card and kept it very simple. The photo doesn’t show it well, but I used a stencil to emboss the white panel. A simple “happy birthday” written in Norwegian on matching cardstock with a few enamel dots is all I needed for this card.

Whimsy penguins with snowman

One of the great advantages of digital stamps is how you can split and resize and remove things to fit your project. That is what I’ve decided on this time. All of these penguins are part of the same digital stamp. The stamp is part of the new digital release at Whimsy Stamps and is called Penguins Build a Snowman.

I opted for a slimline card this time using the great slimline film strip die. I digitally cut the digital stamp into the sections I wanted and resized them accordingly so each would fit in one of the frames. Then I erased the lines that was a part of the other sections of the original image to make them look like stand alone stamps.

To finish it off I used an inverted colour version of Merry and Bright sentiment stamp and some sparkly enamel dots.
