Fox with presents

There’s be a lot of Christmas cards on the blog this month. In October and at the start of November I coloured up a few stamps, but I haven’t had time to make cards of them until recently. Hopefully I will have time to blog them all before Christmas, but as I don’t know how many coloured images I have laying around at the moment, it’s a bit hard to guess how many cards there’ll be!

For this one I’ve coloured up one of Lee Holland‘s stamps. This is in fact one of the very first stamps of his that I bought, but it’s taken a while to get it coloured up and onto a card! I’ve opted for my favourite blues, gave the card a wide border and used a chipboard from Make it Crafty which I coloured in to have a gradient effect. A few semi-transparent sequins scattered around and voila! card done!

Copics used: B0000, BG000, BV20, BV23, B91, B93, B95, B97, B99, W0, W1, W3, T0, T1, T3, YR15, E97, E08, E19, E18, R32, R35, R39, N3, N5, N7, N9, YG61, YG63, YG67, G43, G46, E74, E79, Y32, Y38

MFT Christmas cheer

Have you made any Christmas cards yet? I am almost done with mine now. In fact I posted my first few ones yesterday! I’ve used lilac colours again this time. The stamp set is by My Favorite Things is a part of the Stacey Yacula collection and is called Christmas Cheer. I have masked various of the stamps together to make the little scene.

The base is made with lilac card stock from MFT Stamps as well and I used one of their Stitched Rectangle stax dies. The sentiment is a Mama Elephant die cut out with white card stock and at the end I added some semi-transparent sequins around the top.

Copics used: (snow) BV20, BV23, BG000, B0000, (green) YG61, G43, YG63, G46, YG67, BG99, (yellow) Y13, Y19, E97 (fox) E08, E18, E19, E97, (grey) W0, W1, W3, W5, (brown) E71, E74, E79, (red) R32, R35, R39, (blue) B91, B93, B95, B97, B99, (pink) RV52, RV55, RV17, (other) E50, E51, RV10, RV02

Whimsy bunny Row

For Whimsy Stamps‘ December release I’ve made a slimline card using the Christmas Bunny Row extended stamp. This extended version is perfect for a slimline card. They do have one with fewer bunnies as well (here). I’ve kept it super simple and just coloured it up, embossed first with white embossing powder and then some white frantage to get some bigger chunks as well. The coloured panel was added to the card base using foam tape.

Copics used: W0, W1, W3, N0, N1, N3, YG61, YG63, YG67, E41, E42, E43, E44, B0000, BG000, BV20, BV23, V000, BV000, BV01, BV02, R24, R59

Kid and Blue tit

I admit it, I had to google the name of the bird I tried to colour. I don’t know a lot of bird names in English. The last time I coloured up this Mo’s Digital Pencil image I opted for a robin, so I wanted something different and a blue tit fit the rest of my colouring quite well, I thought. The stamp is called Feed the Birds.

The background paper at the top is by Maja Design and the sentiment stamp is by Mama Elephant. The card stock is by MFT Stamps and so is at least one of two dies I used, possibly both.

Copics used: B91, B93, B95, B97, B99, E70, E71, E74, E77, E779, N3, N5, N7, N9, T0, T1, T3, T5, YR20, YR21, YR23, E00, E02, E13, E15

LotV a time for giving

Christmas is coming up fast. It feels particularly fast when you have so much to do you’ve barely even got time to think about Christmas… Less than a month left now and I have a fair few colourings I still want to make cards of before then.

Here I’ve coloured up one of the Lili of the Valley stamps that was released earlier this year. I think it is one of my favourites from this year!

The card itself is simple with a small cluster of die cut paper scraps, a doily, some enamel dots and a sentiment. The papers are mostly by Maja Design and the sentiment stamp is by Mama Elephant.
