Baby Inks

Ok, so it’s not Tuesday. My post is late! As I was so busy working on the new Tiddly Inks release I never scheduled my post ahead of time and when I went to add it Tuesday morning the modem was dead and I’ve not had Internet until now.. doh! So here it is!

The new Tiddly Inks challenge theme is Baby Inks! I used Sleep Tight Baby and coloured it in with Copics. Do come play along, I’d love to see your makes!

The card base is made with Go Kreate dies. The berry flowers and lace are from Live and Love Crafts, the flowers and pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the ribbon from a local shop and the papers are by Lili of the Valley. I also used liquid pearls, a Noor Design die and a Martha Stewart puncher.

Moonflower’s Tumbelina

The lovely Anne Lise asked me to be guest designer for Barnemix again, so of course I had to say yes! The image I was given to work with is by Moonflower and is called Tumbelina. For this project we were given the theme white on white. Something which I am generally quite terrible at, but I gave it a go!

I coloured it in with copics and figured keeping it all white would be a bit dull! That is why I gave her a glow and a pink dress, but I tried to keep both her hair and the dress reasonably light, somewhat inspired by distress ink colouring actually, and I kept the flowers white. It was fun to try to colour something in lighter shades!

I have used a lot of plain card stock for the card, but a small border with a Lili of the Valley background paper. I used some lace from Kaboks, Martha Stewart punchers and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts as well as Live and Love Crafts.

Wryn’s Leaves

It is time for a new challenge at Tiddly Inks! And as autumn is well on its way here and the leaves are turning all over the place and filling up the lawn, the challenge theme is quite appropriate! Fall colours!

I picked the awesome Wryn’s Leaves, which I coloured in with copics. It was quite fun to colour, although I made the actual drawn in leaves disappear somewhat..

What does an autumn card need? Leaves! Lots of leaves! So I went crazy with my Martha Stewart punchers and Noor Design dies and put leaves everywhere! All the layers are on foam stickers so that the leaves really are poking out everywhere! I used papers from Maja Design, Memory Box and Lili of the Valley and lots of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. The swirly thing-a-ma-bobs are from Kort & Godt.

Let’s have a close up! It’s been a while since I did any of them.

This card has been entered into the following challenges:

Eirwen in the snow

Time for another Mi Ran progressive challenge! The name of this pretty lady is Eirwen. If you want to play along with us, simply go to our Facebook group to see all the details. If you don’t want to, then well, you’ll simply have to wait a month to get a hold of her in Mi Ran’s shop. Who’d want to wait that long, right?!

I took forever to decide which colour to do her dress in! As red was the obvious colour I wanted to pick something else. It was a fight between green and purple, and as you can see: purple won. I coloured it all in with copics.

For this card I decided to go with a lot of dies instead of a lot of flowers! All the dies on the left hand side are by Noor Design, whereas I have used a Tim Holtz snowflake die on the right and a Martha Stewart puncher for the branches. The papers used on this card are by Kaboks and Lili of the Valley. To jazz it up a bit, I’ve pained all the trees and papers with white acrylic paint to make it look like it’s been snowing. I also used white frantage on the image (which is hard to see on the white background in the photo, but it looks look on the actual card. I also added a hint of glitter to all the white puffy bits on the image. I couldn’t leave flowers off completely either, so I used a few from Wild Orchid Crafts.

New Tiddly Inks release

Tiddly Inks is having a new release today and it’s so cuuuute!! Cuteness overload in fact! Then again, when isn’ti it?! I got to play around with a couple of the images and made a CAS card.

I coloured it all in with copics and made some grass and sky to give it more a scene feel. I rately colour something this small so it was a fun challenge! I am quite pleased with how it turned out. The paper in the top right is by Lili of the Valley. If you cannot read the text properly it says: “My brother has the best sister in the world”. It is true!
