Curly kid on swing

I did indeed get a little time to craft this weekend and I have made three cards. I think I till put a film on this evening and pretend to watch it while I colour up some new digis I just bought! It’s good to try to get relax a bit sometimes.

It’s been a while since I added a card where I have coloured in the image myself. So here is one I have coloured with copics. It is an image by the talented Krista Smith of Saturated Canary. I have made a step card, with a blank from Whichcraft. The ribbon and lace (I absolutely love that lace!) are by Wild Orchid Crafts, and so are all the flowers. The punchers I have used are by Martha Stewart, the paper by Tim Holtz and the sentiment stamp is by Lili of the Valley.

And here is a side on view.

For a princess

I got a request to make a card for a little girl who loves anything to do with princesses. It had to be pink and flowery and sparkly and girly. I knew Krista Smith would have something perfect over at Saturated Canary, so I made him choose an image for the card. I then coloured it in with various pinks and reds and made her blonde. The papers I used are by Pion. I made my own sentiments, the punches are by Martha Stewart and the flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts. At the end I added some glitter around the sentiments, some card candy on the side and some pearls.

Lilla konfirmant

Another non-Christmassy card today. I have lots more Christmas cards to show, but it’s good to break it up a little bit and add something else. Today I am showin a card made with one of my favourite Saturated Canary images. I have coloured it in with Copics. The patterned background paper is from a Papermania pad, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts as is the darker purple ribbon and bow. Unfortunately I cannot remember what the two emboss folders I used are called. The leaves are, as always, made with a Martha Stewart puncher.

Woodland princess

It has been quite a while, hasn’t it? In fact, the last card I put up was before summer hit. I knew it was going to be a busy summer, but I wasn’t quite prepared for what was to follow. I have been working a lot, and I have also been on a few trips as well as planning my next holiday. In two weeks time I’m heading off to Thailand for a friend’s wedding. I am so looking forward to that and we have a ton of stuff planned! I reckon I’ll need a holiday as soon as I get back home.. hehe.

We have been very fortunate this year. Not only have we had a beautiful and hot summer, but the autumn has been absolutely fantastic. At the time of writing this I almost feel guilty for not being outside in the brilliant sunshine enjoying the beauty autumn has to offer. It is so amazingly colourful, more than we usually get. I have posted a few photos of it on my instagram account. If you’d like to take a look, my username there is livefall.

Anyway, back to business! This is a card I did in fact make before summer. It is a confirmation card, as some of the others I posted before my unplanned break. I coloured in a Saturated Canary image, using Copic Markers, this time in greens. (The previous one I did was in yellow, and other I did which I have yet to post is in purple.) I used a Martha Stewart edge puncher to create a border and I used it to make a border around the main image as well. The brown leaves are also made with a Martha Stewart puncher. The papers are probably Inkido, although I could be wrong as it’s quite a while ago. The lovely ribbon is from The Hobby House. As always, the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the little corner buttons are called card candy and can be found at Craftwork Cards.

For a girl

A few weeks back I was one of the lucky who were picked for a GDT over at Deep Ocean Challenges. Such a surprise it was to see my name on the list with some incredibly talented folks for sure. I am thrilled I got the opportunity! Today is the first of two challenges I am a guest designer for. This one is to make the project for a girl.

I have coloured a Saturated Canary image in with copic markers, as well as a white pen and some dew drops for the dress. All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Leaf and border punches are both Martha Stewart. I layered it up using different backgrounds, a sentiment and a doily, and tried to keep it reasonably plain still.
