Saucer Magnolia

I’ve coloured up this stamp twice, in pink. The first one was using pencils (you can see the card here) and this second one is coloured up with my Copic markers. The stamp is called Saucer Magnolia and is by Power Poppy. I’ve made a pretty simple card out of it. A border die to cut the panel and then I actually used washi tape for the patterened background. Yup, washi tape! It’s wide and awesome and by Altenew. I don’t use a lot of washie tape normally, but I really love this one! To finish it off I glued it onto a pink card base so you can only see the sides of it, embossed a Mathia Design sentiment and used a few transparent dots around the text.

Yellow statement flower

I love this stamp (and it’s actually in stock as I type up this blog post as well, for a change!). I know I recently coloured it up in pale pink (see here), but I couldn’t help myself and had to colour it up in yellow as well. Yellow is really not my colour, but it is a very pretty colour when it comes to flowers so I figured it would be perfect for this stamp! The stamp, Statement Flowers, is by ALTENEW. This time I turned the stamp set around a bit more to make a low card instead of a tall one. It’s great that you can use the stamp in either direction!

I used Inkon3’s Fadeout Ink to get the no-lines effect. I love that ink pad! It’s by far my favourite of the ink pads I have tried for no-lines colouring! I stamped the sentiment (from the Paint-a-Flower: Poppy set) using Evergreen from the Zesty Limes mini cubes set, the smaller sentiment stamp is from the Statement Flower stamp set, but it’s in quite a faint shade of yellow, so not easy to photograph. The enamel dots are from Altenew as well, but unfortunately they didn’t photograph very well either this time as they are such a pale green colour.

Here is another photo of the card.

Altenew Statement Flowers

Sometimes you simply cannot get a hold of a stamp you want. That is how it was for me with this stamp, Statement Flowers by ALTENEW. I finally got a hold of it this morning and coloured it up while the baby was having a nap. I coloured in the card base to match my colouring (RV93) and used a GinaK/HeroArts sentiment. I stamped the sentiment using Fresh Leaf from the Zesty Limes mini cubes set. The enamel dots are from Altenew as well, from the Green Fields set.

Copics used: (pink) RV91, RV93, RV95, (brown) E70, E71, E74, E77, (lighter green) G40, G21, G24, (darker green) BG90, BG93, BG96

Whimsy Wee Dolly

June is here and that means not only summer is official here, but also the new release over at Whimsy Stamps. For my release project this month I’ve coloured up Dolly from the Wee Stamps collection using Copic Marker. The text is in Norwegian and means “I greatly appreciate you”.

I’ve done similar to what I did on the card a few days ago, but instead of die cutting the background paper I’ve instead die cut the panel I’ve coloured up and made a long card instead of a tall one. It’s great how you can use one die to get different looking cards. You can find the border die here. And if you like to jazz up the text using some big letters, Whimsy has a great set here.

Copics used: (skin) E000, E00, E02, E13, E15, (hair) E08, E18, E49, E97, (green) G21, G24, G94, G99, (pink) RV10, RV17, RV32, RV34, (white) N0, N1, N3

Rainbow and bunny

I’ve made a reasonably simple card again. This time I’ve used a rainbow patterned background paper by Lawn Fawn together with a purple background paper by MFT Stamps. The wee bunny is also from MFT Stamps while the text stamp is by the Norwegian brand Mathia Design. Some enamel dots by Altenew and some foam tape for dimension and there we go!
