Polkadoodles Winnie xmas wishes

Another Polkadoodles project on the menu today! The stamp is called Just for You and I’ve opted for traditional reds and greens in the colouring. For the card itself, however, I wanted a blue and white wintery feel, so I used patterned paper in those colours which I painted with white acrylic paint around the edge. The peace and joy background paper is from the Gnome Season paper pack. The circle die is from the stitched and pierced nested circles set.

Alex Syberia Lovely Bouquet

I have made another card with the new Alex Syberia Design release. This time I’ve coloured up the Lovely Bouquet. I resized and rotated the stamp to get it how I wanted it before I printed it on A2 card stock. Once coloured I cut off a little on the size and at the bottom. The sentiment is by Hero Arts / Gina K and I used Altenew ink to stamp it. Then I sprinkled on some frantage with blue glitter and heat embossed that before using foam tape to put the coloured panel onto dark blue card stock.

Here is another photo so you can see the frantage with the blue glitter at a close-up.

Crafty Meraki using MFT’s birdie brown

I’m here today to share my first project as part of the Crafty Meraki design team.

I have made a card using products from various companies where the stamped image is by MFT Stamps and is called Bring out the Sunshine. I have coloured it up with Copic Marker and then cut out the girl and the flower basket by hand. The card itself is a regular A2 card and I’ve used dark blue card stock for the card base.

The background on the card is made using Pinkfresh’s Pop Out Diagonal Stripes stamp set and I inked it up using 4 different shades of blue going from light at the top to dark at the bottom. A bit less than half of the panel is covered with stripes. The sentiment is a hello die by Altenew with an embossed sentiment go with. It’s always handy to have dies of this kind and and there are a few other options in the shop, too, such as Pinkfresh, and MFT Stamps (Sweet Hello, and Little Hello). The embossed “my friend” is one of the text stamps on Altenew’s Leaf Clusters stamp set.

Whimsy penguins with snowman

One of the great advantages of digital stamps is how you can split and resize and remove things to fit your project. That is what I’ve decided on this time. All of these penguins are part of the same digital stamp. The stamp is part of the new digital release at Whimsy Stamps and is called Penguins Build a Snowman.

I opted for a slimline card this time using the great slimline film strip die. I digitally cut the digital stamp into the sections I wanted and resized them accordingly so each would fit in one of the frames. Then I erased the lines that was a part of the other sections of the original image to make them look like stand alone stamps.

To finish it off I used an inverted colour version of Merry and Bright sentiment stamp and some sparkly enamel dots.

Lotv bears building snowman

Lili of the Valley is working on yet another new Christmas release and it’s a great one! I simply had to colour up one of the stamps right away, with these bears building a snowman! Even though there is loads of white, I opted for a no-lines version of the stamp. Blue is my favourite colour for Christmas cards, so I suppose it was a bit of an obvious choice, but hey! When it looks great, why pick something else, right? hehehe

The decorations are kept simple with just a cluster of die cut scrap paper, some die cut snowflakes, one of Lili of the Valley’s own sentiments as well as some enamel dots.

And this marks the end of August. I am pleased I managed to do a card a day. There’ll be quite a few cards the next few months too, I am sure. Tomorrow is September, and I don’t think I am quite ready for autumn yet.
