Crafty Meraki dotted blooms

Today marks the day for my final post for the Crafty Meraki DT. I have finally been able to make a card with one of the stamps I selected before I started on the team and I went all pink for a change! I admit I am looking forward to having some more time to create stuff that is not DT work (aka with a deadline), it’s not been much of that lately with everything else going on. A lot has happened the past couple of months, but hopefully things will settle a bit soon! I might even have a chance at tidying up my desk again!

It’s been a while since I used Altenew, so I had fun colouring up one of their stamps again. This one is called Dotted Blooms and I used the sentiment from that set as well. It has quite a few good sentiments! The enamel dots are Altenew as well, whereas the ink for the sentiment is by Pinkfresh and is called Regal Kiss.

Thanks for having me, Crafty Meraki, and I look forward to seeing what fun products you might release next!

Crafty Meraki Butterfly orchid

It is Tuesday again so that means it’s time for another Crafty Meraki project. The project I have made for today is actually a shaker card! I don’t tend to make many of those, but with the great Frame Worthy slimline dies I simply couldn’t help myself. I coloured up a no-line version of the Meraki butterfly and cut it out by hand. Then I used two of the frame dies and cut them to the length I wanted before filling it with sequins in colours matching the butterfly. An embossed MFT Stamps (Bitty Bears) sentiment on matching cardstock with a few enamel dots by Altenew finished it all off nicely.

Here is a photo of it laying down flat.

Crafty Meraki yellow orchid

It is Tuesday and that means it’s my turn to be up on the Crafty Meraki blog. I have decided to use one of the collaboration stamps from the latest release; the orchid stamp in collaboration with Colorado Craft Company. This is one of my favourite floral stamps at the moment.

As winter is approaching quickly in my corner of the world, I decided one some bright, cheerful, summery colours. I don’t tend to use a lot of yellow, and this card is filled with it! A bit of bright pink to go with seemed perfect. I have used sentiments from Pinkfresh Studio to go with.

I decided to try something a little bit different this time and instead of stamping up the sentiment normally, I stamped the word hello in InkOn3’s fadeout ink and then I coloured it in using the same Copic markers I’d picked for the centre of the flower. It is something I haven’t tried much before, but I think it gave the text a cool gradient/ombre effect.

And here is a final photo of the card.

PD Winnie jumping for joy

It is time for another Polkadoodles card! I have coloured up Winnie Jumping for Joy with my Prismacolor pencils. This is my first attempt to colour skin and hair with pencils so it was a fun challenge. I’m glad I decided to give the pencils a go for this image. The background paper is from the Scrumptious Sugar collection and I used their Celebrate die in a matching colour as well.

Massive birthday cake

Another one of the stamps I’ve coloured up for the 30 day colouring challenge, this time one of the spring ones, was this adorable teddy bear with his massive birthday cake. The stamp is by Dreamland Crafts and I’ve used Ink On 3’s fade-out ink for the no-lines effect.

I used a green card base along with green ink on the sentiment from Mathia Design
